SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY)
Minuteman Missile Silo Elevator Electrical Circuit Replacement (Reference 140P6321Q0035)
The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of vendors for a possible upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy decision based on the results of this market survey and a future solicitation may be issued as unrestricted without further consideration.
We are seeking to determine contractor interest in support of the replacement of the elevator electrical circuit at Minuteman Missile Silo Delta-01 Launch Facility at Phillip, SD 57567.
Project Schedule: We anticipate that work will begin May 2021 and that the project will have a total performance period of 50 calendar days.
This is not an invitation for bid (IFB) or request for proposal (RFP) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government to issue any solicitation. All interested firms must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on beta.SAM.gov, (www.beta.SAM.gov).
Project Description: The work of the project consists of the renovation of the elevator electrical control panel. Work includes utilizing and retaining some of the existing equipment while upgrading components and equipment. All existing cabinets must be reused to maintain the legacy nature of the equipment. The work includes replacing existing Otis logic control system and replace with PLC microprocessor-based control system, install new controller component. Control cabinet dimensions are 51” H X 27” W X 19” D. Retain hoist machine. Provide new selector and limit switches in hoistway, replace traveling cable and all hoistway wiring. Car and lobby will be reused but worn components will need to be replaced. Retain, refurbish or provide new retiring cam to be compatible with the new control system and existing car and lobby collapsible gates.
Magnitude: The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000
