STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR PLAYGROUND FENCE INSTALLATION
AT
PINE SPRINGS DAY SCHOOL
SPRING 2022
Overview:
The Privacy Chain Link fencing installation project at Pine Springs Day School for security and wind/sand protection of the new Playground Equipment and protective surfacing shall follow this statement of work and be submitted through the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) Acquisition Office.
General Information:
Contractor shall provide an itemized cost proposal breakdown to install new playground enclosure fencing.
Location:
The New Playground Fencing installation Project is located on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Houck, Arizona – Apache County.

SCOPE OF WORK
Specifications and Submittals:
Contractor shall provide professional workmanship in procurement and installation of new Playground Fencing at the Pine Springs Day School per statement of work and specifications.
Vendor is to locate all utility and overhead and underground lines before any construction is to start. Submit all original documents to the Contracting Office Representative (COR).
Mobilization:
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, necessary tools, transportation and all other services needed to complete project in full.
Contractor shall be responsible for mobilization costs of transporting materials, equipment, storage bins and debris to and from project site.
Installations of commercial chain link privacy fencing (with metal slats), including gates, gateways, galvanized steel terminal and line posts in concrete footing, corner braces and trusses.
Contractor shall supply and install approximately 390’ of 8’ tall 10-gauge Commercial Privacy Chain Link Fencing. The dimensions of the fence enclosure, approximately, will be 126’ x 78’ x 126’ x 60’ and will consist of four corners.
• Contractor to install terminal and gate posts of galvanized steel pipe @ 2 7/8” diameter.
• Contractor to install line posts of galvanized steel pipe @ 2 3/8” inner diameter spaced
10’ on center.
• Contractor to install posts in 3000 PSI concrete footings @ 30” deep.
• Contractor to install top rail of galvanized steel pipe @ 1 5/8” diameter.
• Contractor to install one walk-through gate @ no less than a 3’ finished opening (spanning
5’ wide sidewalk) w/2 7/8” galvanized steel pipe posts.
• Contractor to install one double gate gateway w/gates @ 5’ each for a 10’ opening.
• Contractor to install braces and truss rods at each terminal/gate post.
• Contractor to install middle and bottom tension wires to prevent wind billowing.
The Contractor will be responsible for and bear all costs of disposal of excess materials and construction debris from properties of the United States. In addition, the Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the safety of jobsite, construction laborers and occupants of facility.
Warranty:
Contractor to provide 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of completion.
Contractor’s Performance Time:
The Contractor shall complete the work under this contract within 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
