Indiana Dunes National Park
Project Specifications
Three Panel Inline Kiosk with Roof
PURPOSE: Manufacture 15 three panel inline kiosks with roofs for parking lot locations in the park.
Indiana Dunes National Park is a very complex park with many entrances and access points. The 15 panel sets will be placed in the parking lots to provide visitors with a sense of arrival. The three panels will contain important wayfinding, programming, and safety information. The left panel will hold the park orientation map, the right panel will hold the trail map to the specific location, and the middle panel will be a bulletin board case with information that will change monthly. The middle panel (bulletin board case) will need to open, close, and lock, while the left and right panels will not. The left and right panels must have an access point to slide printed substrate into a groove (see photo examples). The groove will hold the 36”w x 48”h substrate into a viewable area much like a frame.
The panels will be installed in harsh sunlit all‐season outdoor conditions which causes the panel graphic to fade. The panels will contain roofs to protect the panel maps and bulletin with shade so that the graphics will not need to be replaced as often.
SCOPE: The contractor shall furnish 15 three panel roofed kiosks. The panel should be built in aluminum to withstand the has all season weather conditions. Each panel will have the ability to change graphic panels and a locking bulletin case. The kiosks should maintain the look and standards set by National
