Salient Characteristics S20151

BOREHOLE WINCH AND DIGITAL ACQUISITION SYSTEM

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

1 EA, Digital Acquisition System:

1. Shall be compatible with WSC existing-owned Mount Sopris analog and digital probes.

2. Shall be capable of communicating with the downhole probe or logging tool.

3. Shall consist of a portable logging winch system capable of positioning a geophysical probe or other downhole logging tool in a borehole.

4. Shall include a motor controller capable of maintaining a constant cable payout speed while under varying loads.

5. Winch system shall be compatible with common coax, single, and multi-conductor wire lines with compatible borehole tools.

6. Winch shall operate at speeds up to at least 85 ft./min.

7. Shall support loads up to 100 lbs.

8. Shall include a Windows based multi-tasking operating system running on 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.

9. Shall include a USB interface for communication between a PC and the logging system.

10. Shall include a graphical user interface with self-diagnostic and system configuration features.

11. Shall be ruggedized for harsh environments.

12. Shall be capable of monitoring tool voltage and current.

13. Shall accommodate interfacing and communications between equipment, winch encoder, and logging console.

14. Shall be capable of collecting and recording data from analog and digital borehole geophysical probes to a laptop from a wireline draw works with at least 3,000 ft of cable.

15. Shall operate from 120 VAC power supply.

16. Shall provide real-time data display along with graphical analysis of data.

1 EA, Digital Probe:

17. Shall consist of a digital probe that capable of logging resistivity profiles with depths of investigation, permeability, porosity, water quality and geological formation properties, at a minimum.

18. Shall be compatible with system above.

19. Shall be capable of measuring 8, 16, 32 and 64-inch normal resistivity, single point resistance, and spontaneous potential simultaneously.

20. Shall be capable of maximum pressure of 200 bar (2900 psi).

21. Shall be capable of maximum temperatures of 70 ºC (158 ºF).

22. Shall have a resistivity accuracy of < 1% from 1 to 5,000 Ohm-m. and <5% from 5,000 to 50,000 Ohm-m.

23. Shall have a resistivity range from 0.1 to at least 100.000 Ohm-m

24. Shall have resistivity resolution of no more than 0.04% of measured value.

25. Shall have ruggedized case for harsh environments.

26. Shall have single point resistance range from 0.1 to 100,000 Ohm-m.

27. Shall operate in water and mud.

28. Shall have spontaneous potential range of at least ±18V, accuracy of at least ±2.5mV and resolution of at least 0.5mV.

1 EA, Firmware Upgrade:

29. Shall allow the digital probe (described above) to measure and record Induced Polarization data.

1 EA, Gamma Radiation Probe:

30. Shall be able to identify lithology and perform clay content analyses.

31. Shall be capable of measuring the amount of natural gamma radiation in formations crossed by a borehole.

32. Shall be capable of operating in a stand-alone mode or in combination with other logging tools.

33. Shall be compatible with system above.

34. Shall operate dry or in water and mud.

35. Shall not require centralization.

36. Shall have a measurement range of at least 0 to 100,000 CPS, accuracy of 1% full scale or better, and a resolution of at least 0.1 CPS.

37. Shall be capable of maximum temperatures of 70 ºC (158 ºF).

38. Shall be capable of maximum pressure of 200 bar (2900 psi).

1 EA, Fluid Temperature and Conductivity Probe:

39. Shall be compatible with system above.

40. Shall be capable of operating in a stand-alone mode or in combination with other logging tools.

41. Shall be capable of measuring borehole temperature and fluid conductivity.

42. Shall be capable of maximum pressure of 200 bar (2900 psi).

43. Shall measure conductivity within a range from 5 to at least 300,000 uS/cm and an accuracy of 1% or better.

44. Shall measure temperature within a range from -20 to at least 80°C, accuracy of 1% or better, and resolution of at least 0.004°C.

45. Shall not require centralization.

46. Shall operate dry or in water and mud.

1 EA, Standard Bottom Sub:

47. Shall be compatible with the digital probe described above.

48. Shall include at least one sensor and be capable of being installed at the bottom of the equipment stack.

49. Shall be capable of operating in a stand-alone mode or in combination with other logging tools.

1 EA, Single Conductor Top Sub:

50. Shall be capable of operating as single conductor top component of the logging tool stack.

51. Shall be compatible with existing WSC owned Mount Sopris model MXC winch.

52. Shall be compatible with the digital probe described above.

1 EA, Software Upgrade:

53. Shall include upgrades to existing WellCAD Version software package.

54. At a minimum shall include the following features:

a. a new graphical user interface

b. include an improved Log Summary bar

c. include enhanced tabular editor functionality

d. include Log Templates

e. shall allow for additional Groundwater processing

f. shall allow for Flowmeter data processing

1 EA, Calibration and Test Box:

55. Shall be capable of performing a system calibration check before logging.

56. Shall include all the necessary cables and clamps to perform a calibration.

57. Shall be portable, in the form a carrying case, and include a handle.
