About this file

This document outlines specifications for an autonomous underwater vehicle procurement. The USGS Hydrological Instrumentation Facility requires an autonomous underwater vehicle no longer than 8 feet and able to operate down to 100 meters. The vehicle must integrate water quality sensors, ADCP, DVL, side scan sonar, echo sounder, GPS, and be capable of mapping, logging data, and operating without human interaction. Additional required items include an acoustic modem, deck box, training, side scan sonar, communications package, underwater navigation, airtime service, handheld remote, and spares kit. Quotes for the autonomous underwater vehicle and associated items are due by July 31, 2020 to Michelle Dalmado at the USGS and the contract is anticipated to be awarded on or around July 28, 2020. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13.5 and is open to firms registered on SAM.gov.
