Specification Sheet

The USFWS native species team at the Lower Great Lakes Fish and Conservation Office in Basom, NY will be purchasing eight drop camera units to use for habitat monitoring in Lake Ontario. The following spec sheet outlines the necessary features of the drop camera systems required.

Camera and Cord –

- Camera must be waterproof, record in color, and capable of recording video in depths up to 1000 feet

- Camera must include LED lighting

- Camera must be able to be dropped vertically.

- Camera cord must be greater than 100’ in length

- Camera must be able to record in real time and relay to surface unit

Camera Surface/Recording Unit –

- Camera surface unit must be able to record GPS coordinates, and date/time while camera is deployed.

- Camera DVR system must be able to be downloaded with external SD card

- Camera unit can be powered by either 12V or 110V power

- If battery power is used, battery must be 7ah or larger

- Tv monitor on camera unit must be 10” or larger and display in color

- Camera surface unit must be contained in a waterproof and shock proof case
