Salient Characteristics S21098
REMOTE CONTROLLED SURVEY BOAT – BRAND NAME OR EQUAL
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
1 EA, Boat Package:
1. Shall be a remotely controlled, electric boat for safe surveying in hazardous water conditions.
2. Shall not exceed base weight of 40 lbs.
3. Shall have a trimaran hull type design.
4. Shall have ruggedized IP67-rated design with interchangeable sensor well.
5. Shall have dual brushless 24V DC outdrives for control.
6. Shall rely on thrust steering and not contain any rudder or steering linkages.
7. Shall include an instrument well that is compatible with the Teledyne Streampro and RiverPro ADCP’s and Sontek S5 or M9 ADCP’.
8. Shall be safety yellow in color for safety purposes and high visibility.
9. Shall be made of high impact UV-Resistant ABS material.
10. Shall be capable of survey speed of at least 2.3 m/s.
11. Battery power shall be capable of lasting up to 4 hrs.
12. Shall include hand-held remote control (RC) transmitter with LCD display for adjusting control settings.
1. Shall be capable of operating no less than 750 meters from boat.
2. Shall include spare RC battery.
13. Shall be capable of carrying at least a 10 lb. payload.
14. Shall have Bluetooth data link with a range of at least 250m.
15. Shall include an integrated single beam echosounder.
1. Shall have a temperature sensor accuracy of at least +/-0.05° C and a temperature resolution of at least 0.09° C.
2. Shall have beam angle of 9° or better.
3. Shall have depth reading range from 0.4m to at least 200m.
4. Shall have depth resolution of at least 0.01m and depth precision of at least0.25% at full range, or better.
5. Shall have frequency of 200 kHz, or better.
16. Must include spare propulsion batteries, cabling, and antennas.
17. Shall include a vessel control unit that is capable of transmitting instrument sensor data.

17. Shall consist of a single beam software package designed for bathymetric surveying applications.
18. Shall support survey planning and real-time navigation.
19. Shall support single beam bathymetric profiles and echograms.
20. Shall support numerous single beam systems from Industry’s leading manufacturers.
21. Shall be capable of producing background charts with colored sounding display.
22. Shall be capable of exporting data in ASCII XYZ data and DXF formats, at a minimum.
23. Shall allow for viewing echograms and analyzing single beam data.

24. Shall be an external GPS cable compatible with existing Trimble R8-2, R8-3, and R10-2 systems or 5000 on Ocean Science Riverboat or High-Speed Riverboat.
