Brand Name or equal to OCLC Worldshare Management Service
Statement of Work
This statement of work is to contract Brand Name or Equal to OCLC-Library Service Program to be Haskell Indian Nations University's Tommaney Library’s Integrated Library System (ILS). Services to include: patron maintenance, circulation, discovery services, proxy service, archival program/storage and material organization for a year.
Background
Haskell Indian Nations University’s Tommaney Library provides academic library services to 700-1000 students. The Tommaney Library provides academic library services. 23 academic databases, 300,000 eBooks, and 58,000 equipment, print, and media items are curated on our library home page.
In the past year, circulation rates are 14,000 per year with $600,000 with textbooks alone circulating.
76,000 items in the catalog are held to MARC and LOC authority control. University changes will be appearing in the upcoming year due to online instruction and electronic materials, the use of the print resources is still highly valued.
Objectives
Implement the FedRAMP certified and compliant to FIPS 140-2 encryption and brand name or equal to OCLC Library Services Program by April 2023. Services to include: patron, circulation, archival items (Content DM), and materials maintenance; metadata and cataloging services; interlibrary loan, proxy server, and discovery layer to provide secure and improved access to materials.
Scope
In fulfillment of Haskell's federal mission, Haskell seeks to provide the best in digital and print resources for faculty and students in the research capacity to sustain academic research for the four baccalaureate degrees in face to face and distance learning environments: Health, Sport, and Exercise Science, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Indigenous and American Indian Studies, and Elementary Education. To ensure access to the most current and credible digital information for digital learning spaces, Haskell’s Tommaney needs a library system which can work seamlessly among the growing digital environment.
Tasks
OCLC will provide guidance and monitoring with the transition of current content held in KC-LSP SirsiDynix System. KC-LSP will also assist in the migration of bibliographic and patron data OCLC holds content on their servers, maintaining the integrity of data tables in the configuration; planning and implementing software releases and enhancements for the ILS; and advising enhancements on 3rd-party ILS integrated applications; and securing data backup. This Statement of Work also allows for the above responsible parties to safely manage data reports for: systems training, patrons, items, patron emails, reports, calendars, and billing.
