CALIENTE FIELD OFFICE UPS SYSTEM REPLACEMENT
GENERAL
SUMMARY
Description of Work: The Caliente Field Office (CFO) Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) contract will be to provide new equipment including, maintenance, transportation, and the cost removal for the existing equipment. The existing UPS system is Powerware 9330 20kva. The service will include delivery and set up of the new battery to be installed and the old battery to be removed at the Caliente Field Office, 1400 South Front Street, Caliente, Nevada 89008.
Scope of Work:
1.) Remove and dispose of the existing battery. This will be removed from site and disposed per EPA standards 2.) Furnish labor and materials to install EnerSys VRLA Sealed Lead Acid battery. Voltage- 12, Watts 28, approx. size 8.5’x4.9’x6.9’.
Deliverables
Price shall include all costs for equipment, parts, installation, transportation/shipping, and removal & disposal/recycling of existing units under the contract at no additional charge.
Location: Work under this Contract is located in Lincoln County. The work site is at the Bureau of Land Management Caliente Field Office, 1400 Front Street, Caliente, Nevada 89008.

Pre-installation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site.

Product Data: For each type of product.

CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS
Operation, maintenance, and warranty data.
DEFINITIONS
Comparable Product: Product that is demonstrated and approved through submittal process, or where indicated as a product substitution, to have the indicated qualities related to type, function, dimension, in-service performance, physical properties, appearance, and other characteristics that equal or exceed those of specified product.
Manufacturer's Warranty: Preprinted written warranty published by individual manufacturer for a particular product and specifically endorsed by manufacturer.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Installer Qualifications: Installers shall have demonstrated experience in assembly and installation of products similar to those specified in this section.
Codes and Standards: The work shall comply with codes and standards applicable to each type of work.
WARRANTY
Warranty: Materials furnished under this Contract shall be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties the Contractor gives to any customer for such materials. The rights or remedies provided herein are in addition to and do not limit any rights afforded to the Government by any other clause of this Contract. With respect to all warranties, expressed or implied, from manufacturers or suppliers for materials furnished under the Contract the Contractor shall:
Obtain all warranties that would be given in normal commercial practices (3 year minimum).
Require all warranties to be executed, in writing, for the benefit of the Government.
Submit all warranties to the Contracting Officer Representative prior to the final inspection.

EnerSys VRLA Sealed Lead Acid Battery or equal for Eaton 93 PM 20kVa UPS unit.
Electrical: All materials needed to make this work complete shall be of new materials and approved by the codes and standards applicable to that type of electrical work. Comply with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.
COMPARABLE PRODUCTS
Submit the following, in addition to other required submittals, to obtain approval of an unnamed product:
Evidence that the proposed product does not require extensive revisions to the Contract Documents that it is consistent with the Contract Documents and will produce the indicated results, and that it is compatible with other portions of the work.
Detailed comparison of significant qualities of proposed product with those named in the Specifications. Significant qualities include attributes such as performance, weight, size, durability, visual effect, and specific features and requirements indicated.

Units: There will be no separate measurement for individual items of work done under this Contract.
