*The requirement for a 4 stroke motor is for maximum horsepower and torque, fuel economy and maximizing clean burning and low emission technology.

**The requirement for the telescoping front suspension is durability. Besides the toughness of the steering arm itself, the tie rod ends from the steering arms to the ski posts are concealed inside the engine compartment, not exposed to stumps or rocks, and less prone to failure. We have not had to replace tie rod ends using this type of front end, where in the past we used to carry a box of extras.

A lot of these things are not necessarily about direct costs for repairs, but time lost and safety in the field in the event of break-downs.

We have four snowmachines travelling together to perform winter trail work and grooming. It is imperative that the machines we are using are the same for easy exchange of parts and accessories in event of breakdowns and for safety in the field.
