Essayons Watertight Doors and Hatches/Weathertight Doors Procurement Performance Work Statement
01. General
Provide and deliver ABS and/or USCG Approved two (2) Watertight Doors, twelve (12) Watertight Hatches, and eight (8) Weathertight Doors.

04. Specifications
Provide and deliver ABS and/or USCG approved doors and hatches for ESSAYONS as listed below:
One (1) Single leaf Right Hand hinged WATERTIGHT door as follows:
Outward opening hinged right hand.
30” x 60” Clear Opening mild steel door panel and coaming with radiused corners for weld in installation.
Rough Opening not to exceed 33” x 63” Minimum .250” Door Panel with integrated full perimeter neoprene gasket.
Minimum .350” Frame Coaming.
Quick Acting Inside and Outside stainless steel lever handles with bronze dogs.
Stainless steel hinges.
Inside and Outside grab handles Coaming to be coated with marine grade epoxy primer.
Door panel to be finish coated with marine grade epoxy or urethane topcoat. Final color Red.
Test to 4 PSI and provide ABS Certification.

Two (2) Raised coaming quick acting cast aluminum with steel ring escape hatches.
15” x 24” double acting hinges with 24” coaming.
Quick acting integrated T-Handle.
Coaming to be finish coated with marine grade epoxy or urethane topcoat. Final color Yellow.
Hatch cover exterior to be finish coated with marine grade epoxy or urethane topcoat. Final color Yellow. Hatch cover interior may remain uncoated aluminum.
Provide ABS Certification.
Ten (10) Raised coming individually dogged WATERTIGHT spring assisted steel hatches.
24” Round clear opening with 24” coaming.
Forged steel individual dogs that can be opened from inside and outside.
Test to 4 PSI and provide ABS Certification.
Deliver all doors and hatches to Corps of Engineers Logistics Warehouse, 8010 NW St Helens Road, Portland OR 97210. Warehouse receives material Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. The receiving hours are 0700-1500 hours.
05. Testing
Perform pressure test on all WATERTIGHT doors and hatches as required to satisfy ABS Certification.
06. Inspection / Documentation Drawings for each door and hatch shall be provided to USACE for approval prior to any fabrication begins.
Doors and hatches shall be inspected upon delivery at the Corps of Engineers Logistics Warehouse.
Certifications for each door and hatch shall be attached and a copy provided to the USACE receiving personnel.
