Scope of Work Installation of Bulk LN2 tank

Provide a LN2 bulk tank from the manufacture Chart/MVE capable of storing approximately 13,000 gallons of Liquid Nitrogen. The tank should be a VS-01 Series, model VS13000SC. Transport the tank to the NLGRP for installation. Provide all lifting equipment and rigging capable of lifting a minimum of 25 tons over a 42-foot wall and set the tank in place on the other side of the wall within a steel girder support frame. Connect the tank to the ground via bolts (non-existing). Vacuum the existing insulated pipe section that the tank will be connected to. Connect the new tank in-line with plumbing to an existing LN2 13,000-gal tank and provide an isolation valve between the two tanks so that the tanks can be selected as separate feeder tanks when necessary.

Vacuum an external shut-off valve and insulated line of an existing 27-year-old bulk tank to extend the life of that tank and line preferably without draining LN2 from the existing tank.

Installation of a bulk LN2 tank in the bulk tank storage area of the NLGRP would include but is not limited to the following:

1. Installation of attachment bolts on the existing concrete pad to bolt the tank to the ground. Bolts should be sized and of the type specified by the tank manufacture.

2. Lift the bulk tank over the existing wall 42-foot wall and place the tank on the attachment bolts on the other side of the wall.

3. Level and plumb the tank before bolting it to the ground.

4. Once the tank is level, plumb, and bolted to the ground grout around the feet of the tank to provide a finished look.

5. Insure the tank is stable.

6. Connect the tank to the existing LN2 plumbing in the bulk tank area and check all plumbing and connections for vacuum and leaks.

7. Connect the new tank in line with the existing bulk tank with automatic isolation valves so that tanks can be chosen as feeder tank as necessary.

Install on the tank a “Tank-Tel” digital monitoring gauge so that the LN2 level can be monitored. Provide basic instructions on the use of the monitoring equipment and the use and filling of the tank itself.
