About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a cryogenic Coriolis flow meter engineering development unit (EDU) for NASA Kennedy Space Center. The agency requires one flight functional/performance representative Coriolis flow meter sensor and transmitter rated for cryogenic service to support a research and development evaluation test program designed to validate and verify spaceflight hardware requirements. The selected flow meter type offers proven ground heritage and high accuracy and reliability compared to alternative options.
The contractor shall deliver one Coriolis flow meter sensor with specific technical characteristics including 1/4 inch DN6 316L stainless steel tubing, B67 process connections with #8 316/316L metal gasket face seal fittings, purge fittings, 9-wire polyurethane-painted aluminum J-box electronics interface, and multiple special test certificates (hydrostatic test, material inspection with supplier lot traceability per EN 10204, oxygen service declaration of compliance, and helium leak test certificate for wetted components only). The contractor shall also deliver one 5700 field mount transmitter with 9-wire remote configuration, integrated core processor, wall or pipe mounting bracket, power specifications of 18 to 100 VDC and 85 to 265 VAC with self-switching capability, backlit graphic display for CSA and IIB + H2 ATEX and IECEx ratings, configurable outputs on channels A and B, and standard factory options. The place of performance is NASA Kennedy Space Center, Central Supply, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899, with a period of performance of 20 weeks from award to hardware delivery, and technical evaluation of design, manufacturing, assembly, and test is estimated at approximately 20 weeks or less.
