About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center. The solicitation seeks integrated circuits for use in a Clio HSRL EDU and specifies that compatible parts defined by a vendor are not acceptable, as many factors determine compatibility for a particular application. The government cannot accept any deviations from the provided component list to ensure compliance with strict performance and quality requirements. Trade Agreement Act compliance is not technically required provided the parts are from an authorized distributor and match what has been requested.

Questions & Answers
1. Are we limited to offering brand‐specific products, or is compatibility also acceptable?
Additionally, could you please clarify whether this requirement calls for TAA‐compliant or non‐
TAA products? Compatible parts as defined by a vendor are not acceptable as there are many factors that determine “compatibility” for a particular application. The government cannot accept any deviations from the component list provided in order to ensure compliance with strict performance and quality requirements. As for the Trade Agreements Act compliance, I don’t have a technical reason it required so long as it is from an authorized distributor of the part(s) and is the part(s) we’re asking for.
