Statement of Work

A breakdown of the work involved with this project is as follows:

Period of Performance: January 2, 2020 – September 30, 2020

Personnel: 1 person

Not to Exceed: 2080 hours

Frequency of Work: Continuous, 5 days a week. Surge to 6-7 days a week during quarantine operations

Estimated schedule:

• 40 hours per week at 52 weeks per year – 2080 hours

• Surge twice a year to support launch cycles and quarantine operations. Expect 6-7 days per week during these times.

Options: Include hourly rate/year for four one year options from Oct 1 – September 30th for each option year.

Requirement Details:

• Must be able to pass a full background check (NASA provided for KSC access badge).

• Must be able to pass a Health Stabilization physical 21 days prior to each crew arrival for launch (NASA provided physical to comply with the Health Stabilization Plan - up to four times per year).

• Must provide vaccination records (or produce Titer test paperwork showing immunizations) and be up-to-date with all required vaccinations including the yearly flu vaccination.

• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment including mask and gloves, if required.

• Must have background and experience in housekeeping and sanitation skills in a commercial setting such as having worked at least one year in a nursing home, assisted living facility or hospital.

• Must be familiar with general housekeeping skills such as washing laundry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning surface areas, folding towels, bed linen and personal clothing, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning dishes, sweeping/mopping floors.

• Must be able to work through weekends, if necessary, to support crew during pre-launch quarantine.

• Must be able to work quickly and thoroughly to clean bedrooms, bathrooms and replace linens in a timely manner.

• Must be able to work in dynamic and quickly changing work environments.

• Must have good communication skills.

• Must be able to work with limited direction and supervision.

The Housekeeper shall be available for variable work if notice is provided at least 7 days in advance.

The Housekeeper is required to attain necessary badging while working at the Astronaut Crew Quarters at the Kennedy Space Center.

Cleaning:

• 23 Bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms (bedrooms ~8’ x 12’ and bathrooms ~6’ x 8’) o Shower interior – tile walls and tile floors and clear plastic shower door o Vanity exterior surfaces (one vanity with sink per bathroom) o Bathroom tile floors, walls, toilet, and mirror o Vacuum bedroom carpet o Dusting bedroom furnishings which includes, but is not limited to, the night stand, chest of drawers, desk and TV o Dusting electronics within bedroom including, but not limited to the telephone, clock, television set o Clean bedroom walls as needed

• Washing bed linens and bathroom towels and throw rugs (5-8 loads minimum & 20-30 maximum) o Bed linens – removing, washing, and replacing on beds o Bath towels – washing and folding and replacing in bathrooms or storing in closets o Bathroom throw rugs – washing and replacing in bathrooms

• Kitchen o Vacuuming/sweeping and mopping kitchen tile floor (~7’ x 12’) o Wiping down counter surfaces and sinks (4) o Wiping down refrigerator (interior and exterior) o Cleaning small appliances including, but not limited to, microwave, can openers, toasters, as necessary o Wiping down exterior and interior of stoves (2) (with ovens – self-cleaning) o Wiping down convection oven (exterior only)

• Common areas (computer room, hallways, two conference rooms, gym and a lounge) o Vacuuming approximately 400 square feet of carpeting o Dusting furnishings, which includes, but is not limited to, the conference tables, end tables, and office desks o Dusting electronics within common rooms including, but not limited to, the telephone, clock, television set o Wiping down gym equipment and restocking gym towels

• Dining room o Vacuuming dining room carpet (~30’ x 20’) o Wiping down 3 tables and 24 chairs o Wiping down 2 small buffet counters o Dusting/cleaning coffee maker and domestic refrigerator

• Collection and disposal of garbage generated by visitors to the Astronaut Crew Quarters o Collecting garbage from cans in bedrooms/bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, and common areas o Disposing of garbage in dumpster outside of the Operations and Checkout Building

• All cleaning equipment and supplies are furnished by the Astronaut Crew Quarters.
