The overall timeline starts when the contract is awarded and ends by tentative date, December 15, 2023.

10. Are we responsible for getting the speakers?

See PWS, pg. 3 The Contractor shall be responsible for setting up the school wellness conference which may include varied national and local expert speakers about the innovative approaches for the school staff in helping the students with mental health issues should include

COVID-19, stemming from the pandemic. The speakers should be knowledgeable and practical life skills to help the school staff to help the students with mental health issues from pandemic.

It is the contractor’s responsibility.

11. Is the save the date emailed or will it need to be mailed to the potential attendees?

Both parties are responsible for conference recruitment.

12. Is there a particular date for the conference in mind See PWS, pg 3. Implementation phase tentative date October 2023 to November 2023.

13. Is there a certain radius for the venue?

Yes, within Gallup Service Unit.

14. How long each day?

The preferred working schedule is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

15. Will you be needing breakout rooms for the participants See PWS, pg. 2. Contractors Discretion.

16. Is it only related to students?

No, see PWS, pg. 1.

17. How deep do they want us to go in the conversation See PWS, pg. 1. Hence, HPDP strongly desires for the wellness conference to provide helpful information, knowledge and skills on basic mental health issues stemming from inclusive but not limited to loneliness, anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement, stigmatization (infected with

COVID), being quarantined, isolation, financial insecurity, accessing basic needs, tensions in relationships, domestic violence, suicide, alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, vaping, and parent involvement. The school staff could also be trained on how to create safe spaces for the students for check-ins and perhaps equip school staff to connect students to varying resources to help with their mental health. The School Health staff also talked with a couple of schools and the school staff suggested the following as interested topics for the Wellness Conference inclusive but not limited to bullying/media, substance abuse, drugs/alcohol, grief, nutrition, healthy eating, healthy snacks, domestic violence, vaping, and diabetes. This is a doable conference and will help our schools very much as they educate our youth.
