2) QUESTION: In the revised work scope, KTR is to supply Fairbanks-Morse sway brace adjustable shock mount, one per engine. DWG 140-WTGB-201-1 lists the propulsion generator diesel as Fairbanks Morse and the propulsion generator as Westinghouse. Does
Westinghouse generator have Fairbanks Morse components? In reaching out to Fairbanks
Morse IWO procuring these components we received feedback that they only directly quote/supply the USCG and refused to supply pricing and availability to anyone other for part number 99999- 888. We are currently researching an “equal” as noted in the revised spec. Current provided design documents list these parts as “assembled by vendor
(engine manuf.) before shipment”. Does the USCG offer/suggest an alternative source?
- CG Response: Rev-3 removing the Sway Bar Requirement.
