WORK ITEM 1: 5342-01-408-5388, Corrosion Preventive Anode, Purchase

1. SCOPE

1.1 Intent. This supply item describes the requirements for the Contractor to package the provided GFE items into a kit and ship one kit per unit in a purchase request.

1.2 Government-Furnished Property.

The following kit contains the parts required to comply with this EC and shall be requisitioned from

Evoqua Water Technologies LLC, 2 Milltown Ct, Union, NJ 07083-8108.

3. REQUIREMENTS

3.1 General.

The Contractor shall ensure that all zinc anodes provided to the Coast Guard comply with Coast Guard

Technical Standard 633 requirements for replacement zinc anodes.

3.1.1 Tech Rep. Not applicable.

4. QUALITY ASSURANCE

4.1 Responsibility for Inspection. The Contractor shall be responsible for the performance of all inspections and tests. The Contractor shall provide space, personnel and test equipment for the conduct of all inspection requirements. All inspection and testing shall be performed at the Contractor's plant or at other facilities acceptable to the Coast Guard.

4.2 Responsibility for Compliance. All items shall meet the requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspections shall be comprised of the contractor's overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in this specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or services submitted to the government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract.

4.3 Quality System. The contractor shall maintain a documented Quality System in accordance with

ASQ/ANSI/ISO 9001.

5. PRESERVATION, PACKING, MARKING, AND SHIPPING

5.1 Preservation. Not applicable.

5.2 Packing. Each kit shall be individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-LE method 10, cushioned in a double layer of 3/4 in bubble wrap and packed in an appropriately sized ASTM-DS 118 double-wall fiberboard box.

5.3 Marking. Each Kit Shall Include Marking IAW MIL-STD-129R and bar coded IAW ISO/IEC-16388-

2007, code 39 symbology.

5.4 Shipping. Not applicable.
