Questions & Answers

Q1. Will the contract supply the cashiers for the serving lines?

Ans. All of this is handled internally by Active duty Coast Guard.

Q2. Is work/office space available on-site for the contract manager?

Ans. There is a small cubicle for on site manager to use.

Q3. Will the contract manager have access to a government supplied computer, telephone, copier and fax machine?

Ans. Contract manager will have access to the following: telephone and fax machine are available.

Q4. What facilities are there for contract employees to store their personal items?

Ans. Lockers are available for the contract employees.

Q5. What is the maximum seating capacity in the dining room/cafeteria?

Ans. 48 is the maximum seating capacity in the dining room

Q6. If dinner is served between 1700-1730 but contractors cannot work past 1730 (5:30pm) this does not allow sufficient time to complete clean up after dinner. Will the government amend this requirement?

Ans. USCG members will complete any remaining clean ups past 1730.

Q7. On average how many special meals events are served each year?

Ans. On average 2 special meals events are served each year.

Q8. Are the special meals only during the week days or will they be on the weekend as well?

Ans. Some special meals will be held on weekends.

Q9. Will the Government provide food service hats, hair nets and beard guards for contract personnel?

Ans. USCG will supply those items.

Q10. On average how long does it take for a contractor to be cleared by security to start work?

Ans. It will take one to two weeks to be cleared by security.

Q11. Is the Government satisfied with the current incumbent contractor?

Ans. Yes.

Q12. We understand that we should provide a staffing plan based on information provided in this RFQ.

However can the government disclose how many FTE’s per day currently work on this contract?

Ans. At this moment the Government cannot disclose this information.

Q13. Please clarify will the government provide supplies such as cleaning products, tools and equipment etc. or is the contractor responsible to purchase and supply these?

Ans. USCG will supply cleaning products, tools and equipment.

Q14. Licenses requirements?

Ans. There are no licenses required, but if contractors follow Serve safe guidelines that would be great.

Otherwise attendants must meet general CG Sanitation guidelines.
