About this file

This Overhaul Description is a detailed specification for overhauling a drawout circuit breaker (Stock Number 5925-01-603-8309, Part Number TL7ASR43A9SCBBXPXX) used on a WMEC 210 Class EDG Switchboard for the U.S. Coast Guard. The document provides comprehensive requirements for inspection, testing, preservation, and packaging of the circuit breaker, including mandatory use of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, specific testing procedures (such as dielectric, mechanical operation, and insulation resistance tests), and strict packaging specifications.

The total estimated cost for the overhaul is not to exceed $13,217.69, with work to be performed by technicians from the original equipment manufacturer or NETA-certified firms. The overhauled circuit breaker must be preserved and wrapped for protection against deterioration for a minimum of two years, individually packed in a wooden box, and marked with specific identifying information. Recommended sources for the work include California Breakers, Inc., Schneider Electric USA Inc., and Graybar Electric Co. Inc. The document emphasizes that the overhaul is intended to restore the circuit breaker to a condition equal to that of a new circuit breaker, with a 90-day guarantee against defects after installation.
