STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

70Z080-19-P-P45958 – CFC ACTIVE

BARGE CRANE SOW: CGC ACTIVE SSDG LONG BLOCK EXCHANGE

The U.S. Coast Guard requires a barge mounted crane and operator to assist with removing and installing a 3406 Caterpillar engine for CGC ACTIVE (WMEC 618) a 210 foot steel hull vessel.

Due to the pier configuration and load limits, a truck mounted crane can’t be utilized for this project.

Barge crane service will be required for two days between the hours of 0730 -1530 on 11 & 12 March 2019 at the vessel’s home port pier located in Port Angeles, WA. The street address is

COMMANDING OFFICER

USCGC ACTIVE (WMEC 618)

1 EDIZ HOOK ROAD

PORT ANGELES, WA 98362

The crane will need the capability to on load and off load an engine assembly weighing 6,000 lbs. and additional smaller components. The engine will be removed and installed via a hatch located on the ships fantail. This will require a crane capable of making a “reach” of approximately 60 feet with a load of 6,000lbs.
