STATEMENT OF WORK
Horizontal Boring for Electrical Service
U.S. COAST GUARD BASE ALAMEDA
Horizontal Boring for Electrical Service 16Apr2019
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 Horizontal Boring for Electrical Service feeder for 264 Las Lomas Drive and 272 Las Lomas Drive, Novato, CA 94949.
PART 2 FACILITY AND SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
2.01 SITE INVESTIGATION: Investigate the site to ascertain the general and local conditions which can affect the work or its cost. 2.02 Novato Housing Site is a United States government facility. All personnel accessing Housing Site are subject to all United States federal laws and are subject to personal and vehicles identification or search to ensure compliance with United States Coast Guard security and Housing Site facility safety requirements. Vehicles must have valid registration and insurance. All vehicle operators must a have valid driver license, passengers must poses a valid government issued I.D.
2.03 The contractor shall clean up all areas to ensure they are clear of debris on a daily basis. At completion of the project all construction areas will be returned to original condition. The contractor shall remove all waste material generated and dispose of in accordance with industry standards and applicable environmental rules and regulations.
2.04 Minimize impact to Neighboring Units. Work performed shall be completed between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday (excluding Federal Holiday) unless authorized by the Contracting Officer.

PART 4 SCOPE
Two housing unit in Novato required replacement of feeder conduit from transformer house to the housing unit. The first unit is 264 Las Lomas Dr. Novato, CA 94949 and Second unit is 272 Las Lomas Dr. Novato, CA 94949. Contractor shall provide location services of utilities around the Transformer House as well as the housing unit, remove all excess spoils from drilling, supply 2” HDPE conduit, and provide all services to pull in conduit. They shall sweep up the conduits outside of the buildings, at locations determined by Technical POC. From Unit 1 to Transformer House (T261) is approximately 180 lf and from Unit 2 to Transformer House (T273) is approximately 100 lf.
PART 5 TASKS
5.01 Site visit shall be performed to verify grade and locations prior to bidding.
5.02 Horizontal Boring of two housing units with 2” HDPE conduit pull in and swept up at the ends
5.03 Provide a final map showing the location of the boring and include length of run completed.
PART 6 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED INFORMATION
6.01 The results of a records search conducted via the California Historical Resources Information System found that one recorded archeological site P-21-000174 is located at Novato Housing. The site is located to the northeast of the proposed project area. A site plan showing the location of site P-21-000174 and the proposed project area is enclosed. Due to the location of the project area and method of repair, the proposed project is not likely to cause disturbance of cultural resources; however, the Coast Guard and its contractors are required to adhere to an Unanticipated Discovery Plan (UDP) to ensure proper work practices are followed and notifications are made in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) in the event that a discovery of archeological or cultural resources be made during the course of the proposed project. The UDP is enclosed.

PART 7 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL
7.01 None
PART 8 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED SERVICES
8.01 Approval from the Contracting Officer shall be obtained prior to installing any hook-ups or connections. Novato Housing on-site potable water and electrical power will be furnished free of charge to the Contractor for the performance of work under this contract. All electrical connections shall be in accordance with the National Electric Code. Provide ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) devices when connecting to Coast Guard systems.
PART 9 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
9.01 All costs associated with travel to complete this task are to be included within the Contractor’s proposal.
PART 10 TRANSPORTATION OF EQUIPMENT
10.01 All costs associated with transportation of equipment/materials are to be included within the Contractor’s proposal
PART 11 DELIVERABLES
11.01 All work shall commence within 7 business days after award and all work completed within 90 days of contract award.
PART 12 ACCEPTANCE
12.01 Completion of work under this contract will be monitored and accepted by Coast Guard Technical POCs.
