Questions and Answers for 70FBR918R00000005 – PAO Janitorial Services
1. Please provide the current contract, incumbent, and contract value of the current contract.
a. HSFE09-17-P-0005
b. Federal Maintenance Hawaii
c. Annual amount: $46,800.00
2. Can you inform me the subcontracting limitations if any or how I can identify what the subcontracting limitations may be contingent upon the 561720 NAICS.
a. This is a 100% HUBZone small business set-aside and includes FAR clause 52.219-3. Per
(c) (1) of this clause, offers received from offerors who are NOT HUBZone small businesses will not be considered. Additionally, in (d)(1) Services – that at least 50% of the cost of personnel for the contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other HUBZone small business concerns. Therefore (1) the offeror must be a HUBZone to be considered and (2) HUBZone employees must account for at least 50% of the cost of personnel for the contract.
3. Has the Scope of Work, under this new solicitation remained the same, decreased or increased compared to the current contract?
a. It has remained the same.
4. How often are floors stripped/waxed and where?
a. Per the SOW C.2.2. – All tiled floors shall be stripped and waxed bi-annually.
5. Is there any requirements for the type of wax used?
a. No. For safety, wax should be “no slip” when finished.
6. Is there any requirements on the amount of wax layers?
a. No requirement on number of layers. Application should be as directed by product specifications.
7. What is the normal amount of people in the facility on a daily biases?
a. 25-35 people
8. What is the total SQFT for stripping and waxing?
a. Approximately 1000 SQFT. Includes breakroom, hallway, entrances (2), and exit door.
9. What hours will the IT room be available for cleaning?
a. Effort will be made to have the IT room available for cleaning at the same time as the rest of the cleaning. However, in the event access is not available, cleaning can be bypassed until the next available date of the cleaning schedule.
10. Can you release the sign in sheet for attendees for site visit?
a. Attached.
11. What are the hours of operation for the cleaning to be done?
a. Cleaning is to be performed Monday – Friday 7 am – 4 pm.
12. Is it after hours or during the hours of normal office hours?
a. During normal office hours. If work is to be done outside of the business hours it must be pre-approved. After hours work may be approved in emergencies.
13. How frequently should the Annex be cleaned?
a. The Annex should be cleaned twice a week as all other office areas are cleaned per the
SOW (Section A, paragraph 3).
