70B03C19Q00000104 Responses to vendor questions
| 1. | Is this a Retrofit or a Container? Do you have a manufacturer part number for the enclosure you desire? This sounds similar to an enclosure made by our TEMPEST door supplier. |
| a. | There is no part number or specific solution identified. The size of the case is dependent upon the Vendor’s Shielded Unit. |
| 2. | Please provide a make/model for the double-TEMPEST door that you mentioned in the SOW |
| a. | There is no specific make/model. The door should be equivalent in size to a double door entry/exit for any tentage-style unit. |
| 3. | The SOW mentions 50 and 60 Hz. US standard is 60Hz. Why does it need to operate on two (2) different systems? |
| a. | The unit may be set up in the field and a generator or other power source might be utilized to power the unit. |
| 4. | Air Inflation Pump make/model? |
| a. | There is no specific make/model of air inflation pump identified. Whatever specifications might be needed to inflate the Shielded Unit would drive any air inflation pump requirement. If it isn’t an inflatable unit, then the air inflation pump would be used for general air circulation. |
| 5. | Augmented power supply make/model? Are you looking for a UPS or a generator? |
| a. | No specific make/model is designated. Whatever is needed to support power requirements when 110-240 VAC is unavailable would meet the requirement. |
| 6. | Fiber Optic connections points. What connectors do you need? (SC to SC, LC to LC, multi-mode or single mode) |
| a. | This is an open requirement and will be discussed with the Awardee. |
| 7. | Our units come standard with a 1-year warranty. Do you require a longer warranty? If so, how long? |
| 8. | Units normally come with a 1-year warranty. |
| a. | CBP wishes to have an “extended warranty” included. |
| 9. | Do you have any drawings for the units? |
| a. | No, there is no specific unit designated to meet requirements. |
| 10. | What type of dimensions are you looking to achieve (H-W-L)? |
| a. | Approximately 7x6x7(H) |
| 12. | Can you please elaborate on your requirements for having the chamber be portable? Wheeled? Able to be disassembled? |
| a. | CBP needs to be able to collapse the structure and move it to alternative locations. The hardcase may have wheels to accommodate this request, but it can be moved by hand-truck or dolley, otherwise. |
| 13. | Will the chamber need to be moved frequently? |
| a. | Assume “yes.” |
| 14. | For air circulation we can provide fans for the perforated air vents on top of the chamber. Is that what you mean by air inflation pump? |
| a. | I’m assuming the collapsible unit would be inflated by a pump; otherwise, the pump will be used for air circulation, if the unit is a non-inflatable tent structure. |
| 15. | What are your requirements for temp/humidity inside the chamber? |
| a. | Since there will be electronic equipment operated within the structure, air circulation and dehumidification will be managed by the Client. The units should be waterproof, nevertheless. |
| 16. | What type of carrying case are you envisioning? One that can be lifted by a crane or forklift? |
| a. | Pursuing a “Pelican” case–type solution or a “Roadie” type case with wheels for an adequate mobility solution. |
| 17. | Reference: SOW document section 2.0 Scope 42 SF floor space. Question: Is there a maximum exterior size limit for the SCIF? Would an interior size greater than 42 SF be acceptable? |
| a. | Yes, approximately 42 SF. |
| b. | No. |
| 18. | Reference: SOW document section 2.0 Scope hard carry case requirement. Question: Is CBP looking specifically for a collapsible tent-like solution or would a conex container based solution work for this requirement? |
| a. | A mobile unit demands a collapsible configuration and a hardcase carrier is necessary to easily move the unit. |
| 19. | Reference: SOW document section 3.0 Period of Performance. Question: Is a delivery date of more than 60 days acceptable to CBP? |
| a. | No. |
| 20. | Will you accept a 10 month delivery? |
| a. | No |
| 21. | You are asking for 42 sq ft. Is it a teardown system that goes inside an office building? Is it a trailer? Bumper pull? Highway road worthy? A conex box on castors? How tall? Expected equipment heat load to determine air conditioner size. |
| a. | Mobile configuration demands a collapsible |
| b. | No trailer/bumper pull/roadworthy - but a hardcase carrier is required. A small conex on castors is acceptable. |
| c. | I cannot specify heighth, since it is dependent upon the collapsibility of the unit and the size of the corresponding carrier hardcase. The smaller the collapsible configuration, the better. |
| 22. | Do you have a picture or sketch of what you currently have, need or purchased before? |
| a. | No. |
| 7. | “…remove the -100db part out of the SOW” |
| a. | -100db is firm technical requirement for the units. |
