STATEMENT OF WORK
For
6K FORKLIFTS
The contractor shall provide all required personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to provide 6K Fork Lifts to the Surface Equipment Maintenance Shops (SEMFs).
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333924 and the Federal Supply Code is 2815.
Purpose: Replace existing forklifts for the field maintenance shops that have reached their lifecycle replacement. The mandatory source of supply has a long lead time and these forklifts are needed immediately. MILSTRIP specifications do not meet mission requirements; for safety and efficiency, forklifts must have full cab enclosure and the following control options from the operator’s seat: fork carriage up/down and side shift/forward tilt/rearward tilt/side tilt. Also, forklifts must have removable carriage to allow the use of other attachments at a later date.
Delivery Date: 60 days after receipt of contract
Delivery Address:
COARNG Warehouse 1181 Kilmer Street Golden, CO 80401-3901
Requirements: The following specifications and supporting materials of the 6K Forklifts are required to satisfy mission-critical requirements:
1. Three forklifts will be purchased as replacements for existing equipment (LIN X55185/L05010) that have reached their end of lifecycle date. The purchase will be to standard with the Force Mod LIN L05010 (LIGHT CAPABILITY ROUGH TERRAIN FORKLIFT (LCRTF): 5K), which is the modernization of X55185 and will be reflected on future TDA authorizations. 3. A warranty for one year or 500 hours which ever expires first shall be provided. During this warranty period the repairs shall be completed within 7 days and onsite as much as possible. At any time the forklift must be moved for repair during the warranty period it will be the responsibility of the vendor to move the equipment to the repair site and provide temporary replacement of the forklift (loaner equipment of similar specifications.)
4. Two - one year options shall be available for the warranty should the government decide it wishes to extend the equipment warranty. The requirements for these options shall be the same as the original warranty.
5. A manufacturer’s parts distributor must be located in Colorado in order to provide timely replacement parts during and after warranty.
6. A rough terrain and extending/retracting boom of approximately ten foot reach.
7. All three forklifts must have from the Driver’s Seat:
a. Enclosed cab
b. Fork carriage up/down
c. Side shift
d. Forward tilt/rearward tilt/side tilt
e. Removable Carriage
8. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 5,500 pounds for all three forklifts. Currently the FMS has 4K Forklifts; however, the Force Modernization is for a 5K and the FMS’ TDAs will reflect being authorized a 5K in the near future. FMS’ are unable to lift larger equipment's major assemblies with the current forklifts and this will also be true for the 5K Forklifts. The variable reach is necessary to download engines and transmissions when they are delivered to the shop; and the FMS’ have been borrowing Units Forklifts in order to accomplish these tasks.
