Single Source Announcement
April 2010
SINGLE SOURCE ANNOUNCEMENT
1. Introduction/Statement of Intent
FAA intends to award a single source contract to Damiano Cataldi, Puerto Rico.
2. Description of Supplies/Services
Contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and services necessary to provide janitorial and grounds maintenance at 3 locations in
Puerto Rico.
3. Total Estimated Value and Period of Performance
The total estimated value of the planned single source contract is $129,575.25. The period of performance will have staggering start dates but will end on 30 MAY 19.
Start Date End Date
1-Jul-18 30-May-19
1-Aug-18 30-May-19
1-Oct-18 30-May-19
4. Authority
Authority for single source procurement is provided by AMS policy section 3.2.2.4.
5. Reasons for Single Source
The time spent negotiating with Source America has created a risk of a service gap if a new contract is not put in place immediately. Furthermore, if the FAA does not consolidate these services into one contract with the current provider, the
Contracting Officer will not have sufficient time to conduct a full and open solicitation. Therefore, the current provider is the only source available to satisfy the requirement within the time required. It is in the best interest of the FAA to award the consolidated contract to this source.
6. Questions
A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. Questions concerning this announcement can be sent via email to bill.lockard@faa.gov and must be submitted no later than 26 JUN 18 at 0900 east coast time.
