About this file

This Material Ordering Data sheet specifies technical requirements for high-carbon cast-steel grit for the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. The document details precise specifications for a procurement of 100 units of G50 grade grit, with hardness requirements between 54-61 HRC, manufactured new and not recycled. Specific packaging requirements mandate steel drums that are poly-lined and sealed, with pallets poly-covered.

The document outlines comprehensive sampling and testing protocols, including a detailed sample schedule based on drum lot sizes ranging from 2 to 10,000 drums. Rigorous testing criteria are established, including hardness testing of ten particles per sample with three hardness readings per particle, where 90% of readings must fall within the specified range. If any sample fails testing, the entire order will be rejected. The material must conform to SAE J1993 and SAE J444 specifications, with all containers marked according to MIL-STD-129, and prepared by Willie Leach with code 244.4.
