Sources Sought: 50310222Q0004 SEC Response to Questions

1. In regards to the requirement that Data be made available via the Wharton Research Data Services platform (“WRDS”), our company does not have integration with WRDS and I do not believe we will be able to natively feed the platform. Can we still continue with the contract opportunity with the understanding the data would be delivered through a different mechanism?

SEC Response: Companies may provide a description of another mechanism if they think it will meet this requirement. Based on our market research, we believe that WRDS is the only platform that can fully meet the SEC’s requirements. However, for this Sources Sought Announcement, we will review responses to consider if there are other mechanisms that can meet the requirement.

If your company does not meet this requirement but meets other requirements in the notice, you may still submit a response for the other requirements. Please note which requirements your company meets in question 1.B on Attachment 2 (Questionnaire that is required for all companies responding to the Sources Sought).

2. In regards to the requirement that real-time data, proprietary content, and third-party information be delivered via Platform. Would raw data still be sufficient or is delivery of the data required via a Platform?

SEC Response: Delivery is required via a platform and the data must be exportable for use off-platform.

3. Please clarify if there are more details available for the requirement: “Economic Information Data.”

SEC Response: Please refer to Pages 5 and 6 for full description of this requirement.

4. Please provide the departments and number of users expected for this requirement.

SEC Response: Please note that the Requirements List specifies number of users throughout as follows:

- The databases for Financial Time Series & Economic Information Data and Financial Transactions shall be for 15 users, with 3 of them concurrent.”

- “database containing market and company data shall be available enterprise-wide.” (Note: SEC will review pricing for Tiers of 500 users, 750 users, and 1000 users if available).

- Lipper Hedge Fund: 67 users

WRDS data is available to SEC enterprise but there is approximately 50 users.

We are not able to specify departments for this Sources Sought Notice.

5. Business size and whether your company has any current socio-economic classifications (e.g.

Our legal team is asking for further elaboration on the current socio-economic classifications part. Can you further elaborate on what is required here? I believe the term "Large Business" has been used in the past but I wanted to confirm with you.

SEC Response: If you company does not meet any of socio-economic classifications, please indicate “Other than Small Business.” “Large Business” is also sufficient.

6. I would like to confirm if the effort mentioned above considered as new requirement or are there incumbent contract(s)? If there is an incumbent vendor(s), would you be able to provide the contract details (such as: Vendor Name, Contract Number, Award and end dates, total contract value) please? Lastly, is an estimated value available for this effort?
