About this file
This document is Bid Addendum 01 for the North Carolina Community College System's (NCCCS) Integrated Library System (ILS) procurement, Bid Number 50-2425002. The addendum provides detailed responses to 31 vendor questions regarding the RFP, with key details including a bid opening date of August 18, 2025, and a desired go-live date of July 1, 2026. The procurement seeks a comprehensive library management system for up to 58 community colleges, with implementation beginning after award and State Board of Community Colleges approval. The contract will involve migrating multiple library systems into a centralized solution, with migration anticipated to occur in multiple cohorts.
The addendum clarifies critical procurement details, including that vendors should provide pricing for the entire system and individual institutional migration costs. NCCCS currently operates with approximately 1.7 million titles across libraries using diverse systems like SirsiDynix, Evergreen, Sierra, and OCLC, with approximately 400 library employees and 30,500 employees and 594,457 students needing system access. The system requirements include e-resource management, integration with third-party communication services, open education resource platform connectivity, and support for various library functions such as acquisitions, circulation, cataloging, and interlibrary loans. Vendors are encouraged to provide both required and optional cost information, with the procurement emphasizing comprehensive, scalable solutions that can support the entire community college library network.
