2 (ITS2)

Application Switch Engineer Level 2
Application switch engineers often perform problem determination and troubleshooting, even when the change is not on the network side. In addition, complex application implementations may require custom scripting. The Application Switching engineers shall provide the following services: configuring; testing; research and development; network design;
troubleshooting and root cause analysis of application switches (as well as DNS issues, taking traces to determine problems, DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), proxy issues, etc.). At level two (2), the Application Switching personnel must have the following Certifications: F5-CTS (F5 Certified Technology Specialist) and CCNP (Routing and Switching or Data Center). In addition, the Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience configuring, supporting, designing, troubleshooting application switches (a minimum of two (2) of these years must include experience with global load balancing); Six (6) years network experience; experience in a multi-site datacenter environment; experience with enterprise level applications (DNS, Exchange, Lync & other Microsoft enterprise applications); ability to take and analyze network traces.

Network Monitoring System Developer Level 1

The level four (4) Contractor supporting the Firewall Security Application must have as a minimum: a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with AIX servers in a large enterprise network consisting of at least 40,000 devices; ability to take and analyze network traces. Active Check Point Certification (Check Point Certified Security Expert or Check Point Certified Security Administrator) or Juniper Networks Certified Specialist FWV (JNCIS-FWV). Experience with network security control systems.
