Functional Responsibility: A recognized Lead Technologist in their field that provides expert consultation, performs research and analysis, and develops solutions to complex Information

Technology problems working closely with software engineering teams and program leadership.

Makes recommendations and advises on enterprise systems analysis, design, development, enhancement, operations, and maintenance in a technical functional area which may include:

Enterprise Architecture, Systems Design, Systems Development, Data Analytics, Data Science, Identity Management, Software Development & Integration, Business Intelligence, Cloud

Enablement, DevSecOps, and Emerging Technologies (ET). The fast-changing nature of ET (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotic Automation) and the specialized skills to be able to perform them minimizes the emphasis placed upon the relevant experience the person may possess.

Functional Responsibility: Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.

Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Expert in the use of program management tools and techniques, e.g., Project Management Institute (PMI) processes and model documents, team management systems, documentation applications, and reporting systems. Skilled in human resources management. Program Management technical functional areas may include: IT Strategic Planning, IT Governance Development and

Management, Data Analytics, Business Consulting, Business Process Reengineering, Organizational Management, Program Management Office Support, Program Analyses and

Project Manager

Functional Responsibility: Serves as the project manager for large, complex information technology task orders and works with the government CO, the contract level COR, the task order level COR(s), and technical representative(s). Responsible for implementing project management best practices, e.g., PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) processes, tools and techniques. Manages project performance and contract compliance by ensuring software development team(s) produce quality IT work products based on deliverable milestones, e.g., Sprints, Program Increments, Modules, Stories, Features, or Epics. Initiates, plans, executes, monitors, and closes projects, managing teams that utilize software development frameworks and methodologies, e.g., Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Waterfall, KanBan. Project Managers may have credentials such as PMP, ITIL, CSM, or possess another IT management industry credential.

a) Leads team on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects.

b) Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.

Functional Responsibility: Introduces working knowledge of related disciplines in assessing technical and Information Technology problems. Solves a wide range of difficult Information

Technology problems in imaginative and practical ways using professional concepts and procedures. Works on diverse problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors. Works independently; receives no instructions on routine work, and general instructions on new assignments. Presents alternatives, solutions, or strategies, considering client requirements and

Bana Solutions capabilities. Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, developing system requirements and providing strategic, tactical, and operational-level planning support. A

Cybersecurity Specialist may handle the installation of tools; may work with other engagement members on the deliverables being produced; may have responsibility to conduct a portion of the engagement, such as penetration testing for a given application or network; and/or may conduct interviews to assess the status of a NIST 800-53 security control that is in scope. A

Cybersecurity Specialist completes more difficult tasks in an engagement performing penetration testing, malware / hunting, vulnerability assessment, and/or incident response.

Levels II and III may have Cyber Security credentials such as CISSP or CISA, CEH, CFE, or may possess another security industry credential.

Serves as an engineer for complex implementations in an agile, end user-centric environment.
