EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTIONS
PCRP: The Personal Computer based Radar Processor (PCRP) has a high-performance radar data acquisition front end with advanced signal processing, tracking, and display capabilities that can be used for Shipboard, Vessel Traffic System (VTS), as well as Air Search applications. Our high-performance radar processor is fully compatible with multiple commercial and military radar systems. All raw radar signals are processed through standard and proprietary algorithms to ensure optimal target detection and provide consistent operational behavior to the end user. Quite simply, the PCRP optimizes target detection with minimal operator involvement. With SSR, customers can select from a variety of radar manufacturers and models to get the best of breed design for their mission needs. We offer a large portfolio of radars that utilize both open standard format (ex. ASTERIX) and the manufacturers’ own proprietary analog and digital interfaces, all of which work directly with our radar processor.
Adjunct – Passive radar processor that receives analog radar signals and provides radar image and track data to network clients. This PCRP receives radar input but does not control the radar.
Configurations available to adapt to a wide variety of radars and in several form factors. Configuration and radar interface must be specified at time of order.
Prime – Radar processor with active radar control. This PCRP also receives analog radar signals and provides radar image and track data to network clients, and also actively controls the radar transmission state and clutter control settings of the radar. Configurations available to adapt to a wide variety of radars in a 2U rackmount case. Configuration must be specified at time of order.
Global Track Correlator
The Global Track Correlator compares data from multiple radars and sensors to generate high quality composite tracks. The Global Track Correlator can receive, process, and correlate additional sensor data from AIS, IFF, DSC, Sonar and ELINT Sensors. These tracks provide the operators with the necessary information they need to make critical decisions in their day-to-day operations. The Global Track
Correlator is fielded on shipboard, mobile and land-based platforms. SSR is continuing to enhance the performance and features of the Global Track Correlator as our customers encounter new challenges.
Among other requirements, the tracker is designed for overlapping sensor coverage areas, provides a single-track picture over thousands of miles and maintains target tracking in cluttered and blind areas.
Features of the Global Track Correlator include:
• 5,000 Simultaneous Track Capacity
• Supports up to Sixty-Four Radars
• Shared Track Information via COMRIC (SSR’s middleware)
• Multi-Radar Target Correlation
• Generic Target Correlation from AIS, SONAR and ELINT
• Designed for Fixed and Mobile Stations, Redundancy Options Available.
Maritime Information Server (MIS) - Maritime Information Server (MIS) Centralized Alerts, AIS &
Track Database, web service interface to third party applications, connections to 3 party Marine databases.
Our Maritime Information Server (MIS) continually collects data from the SSR system and other available commercial and government sources, applying algorithms to increase operator understanding. Through its role-based information access, the MIS provides users with access to intelligence stored on a particular track. The MIS continually logs track activity, alerting operators to potential incidents before they occur.
The MIS allows third party access through a secure REST web service interface, offering developers an intuitive means to access data. The MIS allows external agencies secure access to data that is shared with them based on their permission level. As an information storage server, MIS is continually collecting data from the internal system and other available commercial and government data sources. Integrating this information with the real-time data provides enhanced situational awareness to operators, allowing them to make more informed and knowledgeable security decisions.
Camera Manager – A Camera Manager allows multiple operators to control multiple cameras over a network. It also allows a particular camera to be slaved to a track so that the camera is directed to the contact and follows it as it moves. The Camera Manager also accepts inputs from standard Pelco keyboards and routes those commands to the appropriate camera to provide direct operator control of cameras. It provides connections to cameras/keyboards using RS-422 serial ports and provides connection to the sensor network via standard Ethernet connection. Available in a 2U rackmount case.
Radii - The Radii situational awareness display presents an integrated view of the operational area, enables situation management by providing automated analytics and decision support tools, and provides control of the underlying radar and sensor systems. From operators to mission commanders, Radii’s flexible interface allows users to create a single or multi-screen layout specific to mission preferences, providing instant on-demand access to any and all target tracking information and sensor control. By consolidating information from all other components of the SSR surveillance system, Radii allows users to manage missions, tag specific targets, replay past events, and access the database while visually monitoring activities, all at one workstation. Radii also offers multi-language support, allowing users to operate the system in their native language. The Radii display system allows operators to monitor and control radars, cameras, and other sensors connected to the system. This approach allows operators to remain focused and not have to go between various applications.
LAN API Recorder (LAR) – LAN API Recorder (LAR) - Provides capability to record and playback radar data such as radar images, track data, and radar settings from the radar sensor network. Available in desktop, laptop, or rackmount configurations; configuration must be specified at time of order. Available in a 2U rackmount case.
Navigation Data Interface Unit (NDIU) – The NAV-NMEA Data Interface Unit (NDIU) is used to interface heading and speed sensor signals to a standard NMEA serial stream for use with shipboard
Command, Control, Computer, & Intelligence (C4I) systems. The NDIU is specifically designed to convert analog gyro synchro, speedlog synchro, gyro stepper, and speed-log stepper signals to an industry standard serial NMEA 0183 output string. Standard configuration accepts input from two synchro devices. Single synchro configuration is also available. Configuration must be specified at time of order.
SOFTWARE and SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS
Model 680 Global Track Correlator Software - The Global Track Correlator software combines information from all sensors and creates only one position report per track and eliminates the need for
“handoff” between radars. The Global Track Correlator seamlessly integrates on the network and provides a means of minimizing network traffic. The Global Track Correlator correlates data from multiple radars and sensors to generate high quality composite tracks. The Global Track Correlator can receive, process, and correlate additional sensor data from AIS, IFF, DSC, Sonar and ELINT Sensors. These tracks provide the operators with the necessary information they need to make critical decisions in their day-to-day operations. The Global Track Correlator is fielded on shipboard, mobile and land-based platforms.
Model 640 Camera Manager Software - Camera Manager Software allows multiple operators to control up to four (4) cameras. It allows a radar operator to aim a camera at a contact and or slave to a moving track using a Graphic User Interface (GUI) from within a display application. The Camera Manager also accepts inputs from standard Pelco keyboards and joysticks and routes those commands to the appropriate camera to provide direct operator control of cameras.
Model 700 C-ARPA Display Software (no charts) - The displays software has the capability of independent range scale and offset and has multiple feature sets designed for intuitive operation. RDOP is more appropriate for a non-moving platform while C-ARPA was designed for a moving platform. Specify either RDOP or C-ARPA at time of order. This software comes without charts or chart engine.
Model 750 Radii Software - Radii Windows display software with charts.
EAIS-Blowfish - The Encrypted AIS (EAIS) module and its associated applications provide three areas of functionality, including the standard AIS, an upgradable Encrypted FIPS Tracking module, Encrypted
Blowfish module, plus the ability to send AIS text messages. SSR Encrypted Blowfish module (export model) SSR Encrypted AIS module requires one per AIS receiver.
EAIS-FIPS - SSR Encrypted FIPS for AES US only applications, SSR Encrypted AIS module requires one per AIS receiver.
