OUR WORK
Bomb-Defusing Robot / Web App
Development
FLIR Systems: Geisel Software developed an operator control user interface for FLIR to address the Army’s vision of a universal controller that would allow operators to direct their entire fleet from a single device. Geisel engineers were able to create a high-quality, performant UI running on a tablet computer using modern, web-based technologies within an incredibly short 6-month time frame. Geisel’s project management, UI/UX, JavaScript and SQA skills combined with their expertise in web applications, robotics and security allowed FLIR to complete the project on time and within budget.
Diagnostic Blood Testing Analyzer / Mobile App Development
Geisel Software developed a modern, easy-to-use, Android-based user interface to replace an outdated text-based version. Geisel architected a solution that incorporated existing code where feasible, simplified the application software, and allowed the new code to be re-used with the company’s other products, resulting in lower product development costs. Geisel’s controlled development practices and adherence to company processes also helped ensure FDA acceptance for their 510K submission.
Class III Implanted Device to Treat Advanced Heart Failure / Device Work
NuPulseCV: Geisel Software designed and wrote an iPad application for physicians to control the settings for patient devices. Geisel also developed Bluetooth software to allow the iPad application to exchange data and commands with the patient’s device, conducted SQA for the software, and documentation for the design, development, and testing of the device.
Social Robot / Manufacturing Facility Work
Jibo: Geisel Software was hired to develop test software that would assess the health of returned robots that were received at their servi ce and remanufacturing center. Geisel developers created a full Python app that ran on a Raspberry Pi computer installed in the factory and could remotely control the robot, run through a series of tests, provide the operator with feedback and log the results. Geisel’s solution reduced total testing time on a robot from one hour to less than five minutes – a 92% time savings!
