3GIMBALS OFFERINGS

ABOUT 3GIMBALS

3GIMBALS was formed in 2015 at the height of the commercial and publicly available data revolution. We started by helping organizations integrate new data sources into real workflows through strategy development, market research, strategic communications, and project management that showed clients what was possible, not just what was interesting.

What we learned in that first wave shaped our identity as early adopters and practical translators between innovators and operators. We moved from exploration to execution, accelerating government use of disruptive technologies and turning them into operational capabilities. That evolution positioned us to design and deliver unclassified, fully releasable insights and engineering solutions that unlock the power of the commercial ecosystem for defense, intelligence, and law enforcement missions.

Today, we live where mission needs meet emerging technology. We fuse diverse data, emerging technologies, and AI into usable intelligence, build GIS products that make complex environments navigable, and stand up the workflows, platforms, and integrations that carry those insights to the edge. We design data models and pipelines, craft common operating pictures and decision tools, and run the agile, day‑to‑day program work that helps organizations adopt new capabilities without breaking what already works. Our teams embed with customers, work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with users, and deliver finished reporting, dashboards, alerts, and machine‑to‑machine outputs that align with tradecraft and sharing requirements.

3GIMBALS delivers enterprise intelligence, defense, and law enforcement capabilities through our licensed OMEN™ solution, with mission-specific configuration services, SME support, and multi-modal data fusion provided under an enterprise license agreement.

OMEN™ ensures rapid adoption and integration into existing customer workflows.

We’re uniquely equipped to turn current data and tools into impact on real missions. Deep knowledge of our customers’ challenges, combined with strong ties to the commercial marketplace, lets us bring the right capability for the right problem quickly, securely, and at mission pace. Innovation, trust, and genuine respect are the core of how we operate and how we build lasting partnerships.

About Our Name 3GIMBALS has always been dedicated to helping leaders and their organizations make disruptive leaps forward without breaking the organization, the people, or the leader (i.e., in balance).

A gimbal is a pivoted support that allows an object to rotate about a single axis. A set of three gimbals, one mounted on the other with orthogonal pivot axes, allows an object mounted on the innermost gimbal to remain independent of movement by the object to which it is mounted.

For example, on a ship, the gyroscopes, shipboard compasses, stoves, and even drink holders typically use gimbals to keep them upright with respect to the horizon despite the ship's pitching and rolling. This three-gimbal configuration is called a Cardan suspension.

It is named after Italian mathematician and physicist Gerolamo Cardano (1501–1576) who described it in detail.

Just as a Cardan suspension keeps an item stable despite movement all around it, 3GIMBALS helps our customers make rapid, first-mover advances by quickly embracing disruptive emerging technologies while strengthening their organizations in the process.
