Special Item Number 511210 Software Licenses Includes both term and perpetual software licenses and maintenance. Includes operating system software, application software, EDI translation and mapping software, enabled email message-based applications, Internet software, database management applications, and other software.

The word "Term" is defined in this Solicitation as "a limited period of time". Term Software Licenses have a limited duration and are not owned in perpetuity. Unless Offerors provide an option for converting Term licenses into perpetual licenses, users lose the right to use these licenses upon the end of the term period. This SIN is NOT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Software as a Service (SaaS) as defined in SIN 518210C - Cloud and Cloud-Related IT Professional Services. Term Software Licenses are distinct from Electronic Commerce and Subscription Services (SIN 54151ECOM).

The word "perpetual" is defined in this Solicitation as "continuing forever, everlasting, valid for all time.”

Software maintenance as a product includes the publishing of bug/defect fixes via patches and updates/upgrades in function and technology to maintain the operability and usability of the software product. It may also include other no charge support that is included in the purchase price of the product in the commercial marketplace. No charge support includes items such as user blogs, discussion forums, online help libraries and FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), hosted chat rooms, and limited telephone, email and/or web-based general technical support for user’s self-diagnostics.

Software Maintenance as a product is billed at the time of purchase.

Software maintenance as a product does NOT include the creation, design, implementation, integration, etc. of a software package. These examples are considered software maintenance services under SIN 54151 Software Maintenance Services.

PATCH MANAGER provides a comprehensive solution for planning, documenting and managing changes to the physical layer connectivity and assets of your campus, building, data center or outside plant network.

PERPETUAL SOFTWARE-

PATCH MANAGER Professional Edition Server License It is required that a PATCH MANAGER Professional Edition Base Server license is purchased prior to or in conjunction with any of the other listed products. This license is for a single server instance of PATCH MANAGER for 30 rack objects.

PATCH MANAGER Professional License Expansion for racks - (10 racks) Addition licensing for PATCH MANAGER Professional Edition can be purchased in 10 rack object increments to expand the license to up to 1000 rack objects.

Course Overview
At the end of the class attendees should be able to:

The course examines the fundamental concepts and techniques for documenting cable, assets and connectivity in the PATCH MANAGER Application, a connectivity management database.

The attendees of this class should have a basic understanding of Data Networking, cabling, networks, and networked devices.

This 6-half day class consists of power point presentations, class discussion, demonstrations, and labs to provide the attendee a working knowledge of the PATCH MANAGER application. Labs are utilized to ensure a basic understanding of the material covered during the class.

Attendees will develop an understanding of the relationship between hardware and cables (copper, fiber- optic and power) in the environment discussed, Data Centers, Outside Plant and Office Space. The class will explore ways to add and report on specific data contained in this connectivity management system.

· Generate a hierarchy of their specific organization.

· Document the permanent infrastructure.

· Document the patch cables and assets connected with them.

· Create and use a work order to reserve assets and plan work.

· Query the PATCH MANAGER system to provide information about Equipment, cables, and assets.

PATCH MANAGER Equipment Templates Training

At the end of the class attendees should be able to:

The course examines the fundamental concepts and techniques for creating equipment templates in the PATCH MANAGER application, a connectivity management database.

The attendees of this class should have a basic understanding of telecommunications cabling, networks, and networked devices. The attendees must also have a working knowledge of the PATCH MANAGER application or have completed the PATCH MANAGER User Training.

This class consists of Power Point presentations, class discussion, demonstrations and labs to provide the student a working knowledge of creating and editing PATCH MANAGER equipment - templates. Labs are utilized to ensure a basic understanding of the material covered during the class.

Attendees will develop an understanding of the relationship among PATCH MANAGER template types: Equipment, Ports and Slots. The class will create example templates to model equipment in the PATCH MANAGER application.

· Create templates to model Passive and Active equipment.

· Use existing templates to create client specific versions.
