Interior Designer I

Job Description: This person uses their knowledge of space and built construction to ensure safety and disability accommodations are met within the scope of the furnishings being provided. Design intent is explored with the end user with an agreed upon outcome during the design process.

Collaboration by Interior Designer and end user includes examples of visual options or knowledge studies that move the project to final design intent. The Interior Designer then assesses the current state of the project space if a renovation by confirming as built drawings. Attention is paid to the built environment that will remain unaltered such as utilities, structural supports, and exterior views to properly accommodate them within the renovation project.

Incorporation of the new design elements is then added to the design documentation that includes the floor plan and 3D renderings. Finishes samples are gathered and included within review packages along with physical samples to end user for approval. Technical specification of proposed interior furnishings and finishes are reviewed for compatibility to project design intent and adequate representation of desired quality. Conceptual information is reviewed with end user for multiple sessions that result in final acceptance to proceed.

Implementation of final design consists of detail order placement with manufacturer vendors and review for accuracy.

Minimum Education Requirement: bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus two years relevant experience equal to bachelor’s degree. Must pass a background check.

Project Manager

Job Description: Project Manager includes an individual with either Project Management, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture bachelor’s or master’s degree. With this educational requirement, work experience can be 0+ years. This person will be responsible for coordination of product ordering, delivery, installation, and final acceptance of project. Project goals such as project timeline and budget are agreed upon by end user, interior designer and project manager and used to evaluate success of final project outcome.

This role includes product order placement and review of accuracy. Coordination of receiving product shipments to either warehouse or project site as needed. Submit site crew list for security verification process as required. Scheduling of installation crew in coordination of end user and site availability.

Ensure all project safety training is met per project requirement prior to commencement of work by installation crew. Project Management leads charge of possible changes to scope, timeline and design as needed by possible arising issues throughout project. Constant communication between the end user and project team is lead by the Project Manager. During installation, the crew has the Project Manager as primary contact for all site and project related questions and if there are issues, they will give directions to the crew. Project Manager reviews the installation effort periodically and at completion with end user to determine punch list items. Repair or reorder of punch list items are facilitated by Project Manager and again coordinated for installation and end user acceptance when complete.

Project Manager coordinates any labor wage reports required set forth by project contract with subcontractors. Timely payment applications are submitted if required by project contract with necessary documentation. Project manager is responsible for close out submittal such as as-builts, product documentation and warranty policies.

Minimum Education Requirement: bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus two years relevant experience equal to bachelor’s degree, must pass a background check.

Installer I Job Description: Basic assembly capabilities and instruction of installation process required. Standard, non-union labor rate. Manual labor includes receiving product deliveries at either warehouse or project site, assessing the condition of shipped product while reporting damage items. Warehouse storage included for the first thirty days without additional charge. Manage product pull requirements set forth by design package and efficiently move product from warehouse using company freight truck and equipment to project site and unpackage. Building deliveries are approved by the owner prior to site presence. Floor protective cover requirements are met by using clean carts for product movement and adding corner guards to doorways and elevators as needed for travel path to final destination of product.

Installation labor can include either decommissioning of existing products or assembly, installation of new products. Correct assembly of product requires instructional review of the issued design drawings and basic assembly knowledge meeting requirements set forth by manufacturer of particular product.

Final assembly is assessed for performance stability and intended movement then reviewed against design drawings for completion. If site condition shows unexpected hinderance to installation intent the issue is brought to the attention of the Project Manager for resolution.

Prior to leaving the project area all tools and packaging have to be removed from the area and the new product cleaned of debris. If able, the area of installation is photographed for the progress report with any damaged items included in the report.

Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent that also passes back-ground check and possesses a valid government issue identification card.

Installer II

Job Description: Provides direct supervision of all level Installers to ensure successful completion of all furniture installation in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and client satisfaction.

Responsible for complex projects on job sites.

Basic assembly capabilities and instruction on installation process required. Member in good standing of Carpentry Union of their local region. Manual labor includes receiving product deliveries at either warehouse or project site, assessing the condition of shipped product while reporting damage items.

Warehouse storage included for the first thirty days without additional charge. Manage product pull requirements set forth by design package and efficiently move product from warehouse using company freight truck and equipment to project site and unpackage. Building deliveries are approved by the owner prior to site presence.
