About Madison Services, Inc.
Madison Services, Inc. (“Madison”) is a small, privately held company that provides a wide variety of services to Agencies of the Federal Government and to the private sector. Since incorporating in 1984, Madison has successfully performed over forty-five service contracts and four Job Order Contract (“JOC”) (construction) contracts.
Madison’s facilities maintenance & management contracts are generally included in one of three categories:
• Operations and Maintenance Service
• Grounds Maintenance
• Custodial Service
OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (“O&M”) SERVICE – Madison currently performs O&M services at General Services Administration (GSA) owned land ports of entry CONUS. These contracts include all facility and mechanical maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems. As part of facility maintenance, Madison performs grounds maintenance, snow removal, and custodial services at each of its GSA and CBP sites.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE – Madison performs the full spectrum of grounds maintenance services at government and contractor-operated facilities. Madison personnel operate tractors, rotary mowers, flail mowers, finish mowers, string trimmers, edgers and snow removal equipment necessary to maintain grounds surrounding customer-owned facilities.
Additionally, Madison personnel landscape building exteriors, plant flowers, shrubs and trees, apply fertilizers, herbicide, and pesticides, and prune and trim trees. Grounds maintenance services range from snow & ice removal in the West and Northwest to grass clipping and turf maintenance in the South and tropical areas of Florida.
CUSTODIAL SERVICE – Madison has experience performing all facets of building custodial services. Typical government custodial contracts traditionally include floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, and general office and restroom cleaning.

Position Project Manager
Minimum Years of Experience
Duties Provide overall direction, expertise, mentorship, and leadership to the contract personnel responding to customer requirements. Will spend a majority of their time managing the team and ensuring delivery of the customer requirements.
Directly responsible and accountable for the team’s performance in meeting the customer’s requirements. General supervision is provided throughout a program; reviews progress and evaluates results. Responsible for day-to-day direction and overall contract performance, by providing logistics interface with all departments. Responsible for budgets through cost estimates, FY budget inputs, and guidance on the execution of program funding. Provides expert functional and management guidance to employees and meets regularly with client management to discuss status and resolve program related issues.
Responsible for responses, presentations, review briefings, acquisition briefings, etc., to corporate management and customers.

Duties Quality Assurance Specialists are responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve a company's final products and processes in order to meet established quality standards. Ensures that environmental policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times. Being an Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

Position Accounting Clerk I
Minimum Years of Experience
Duties This position is responsible for performing one or more routine accounting clerical operations such as: examining, verifying, and correcting various accounting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in accordance to accounting procedures. Specific tasks/duties are assigned under adequate supervision. Entry-level reconciliation and posting will be assigned under detailed guidance. In most instances, an employee in this position will rely on the supervisors' instructions. Completed work will be reviewed for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
Position Accounting Clerk II
Minimum Years of Experience
Duties This position uses knowledge of double entry bookkeeping in performing one or more of the following: posting actions to journals, identifying subsidiary accounts affected, making debit and credit entries, and assigning proper codes.
The Accounting Clerk II may review computer printouts against manually maintained journals, detect and correct erroneous postings, and prepare documents to adjust accounting classifications and other data, or review lists of transactions rejected by an automated system. In this instance, the Accounting Clerk II will determine reasons for rejections, and prepare necessary correcting material. On routine assignments, an employee will select and apply established procedures and techniques. Detailed instructions are provided for difficult or unusual assignments. Completed work and methods used, are reviewed for technical accuracy.

Position Accounting Clerk III
Experience
Duties The Accounting Clerk III maintains journals or subsidiary ledgers of an accounting system and balances and reconciles accounts. Typical duties include one or both of the following: 1.) reviewing invoices and statements verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and if questionable, resolving with the submitting unit determining accounts involved. The review will include coding transactions, and processing material through data processing for application in the accounting system; 2.) analysis and reconciliation of computer printouts with operating unit reports (contacting units, researching causes of discrepancies, and taking action to ensure that accounts balance). Supervisor provides suggestions for handling unusual or non-recurring transactions. Conformance with requirements and technical soundness of completed work are reviewed by the supervisor, or are controlled by mechanisms built into the accounting processes.
Position Administrative Assistant
Experience
Duties In addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements), this position will provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include budgeting, personnel records and payroll. The Administrative Assistant may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.

Position Appliance Mechanic
Minimum Years of Experience
Duties The Appliance Mechanic installs, services and repairs stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines, and other electrical household or commercial appliances, using hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications. This person connects appliance to power source and test meters, such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter, observes readings on meters and graphic recorders, examines appliance during operating cycle to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks and loose parts, and disassembles appliances and examines mechanical and electrical parts. The worker traces electrical circuits, following diagram and locates shorts and grounds, using ohmmeter, calibrates timers, thermostats and adjusts contact points, and cleans and washes parts, using wire brush, buffer, and solvent to remove carbon, grease and dust. This person replaces worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers and defective wiring, repairs and adjusts appliance motors, reassembles appliance, adjusts pulleys and lubricates moving parts, using hand tools and lubricating equipment.
Position Carpenter Maintenance
Experience
Duties The Carpenter, Maintenance performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors. Work involves most of the following:
planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work.
In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Position Cleaner Vehicles
Minimum Years of Experience
Duties The Cleaner, Vehicles cleans interiors and exteriors of transportation vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, railroad cars, and streetcars, cleans interior of vehicle, using broom, cloth, mop, vacuum cleaner, and whiskbroom, cleans windows with water, cleansing compounds, and cloth or chamois, replenishes sanitary supplies in vehicle compartments, removes dust, grease, and oil from exterior surfaces of vehicles, using steam-cleaning equipment or by spraying or washing vehicles, using spraying equipment, brush or sponge. The Cleaner may polish exterior of vehicle, and may fumigate interior of vehicle, using fumigating gases or sprays.

Duties An Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Experience
Duties The Gardener plans and executes small scale landscaping operations and maintains grounds and landscape of household, business and other properties, works with assistant in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers, seeding and laying sod, and transplanting shrubs and plants, and cultivates them, using gardening implements and power-operated equipment.
