When the Federal Supply Schedule contract delivery period does not meet the bona fide urgent delivery requirements of an ordering agency, agencies are encouraged, if time permits, to contact the Contractor for the purpose of obtaining accelerated delivery. The Contractor shall reply to the inquiry within 3 workdays after receipt. (Telephonic replies shall be confirmed by the Contractor in writing.) If the Contractor offers an accelerated delivery time acceptable to the ordering agency, any order(s) placed pursuant to the agreed upon accelerated delivery time frame shall be delivered within this shorter delivery time and in accordance with all other terms and conditions of the contract.

Labor Category Descriptions
PROJECT MANAGER
Responsible for contract execution of projects with support from the home office. Leads facility staff on individual contracts or a group of smaller contracts typically up to $15M in size. Meets customer satisfaction objectives and ensures contractual obligations are met. Promotes company-wide offerings and expertise, to deliver a single seamless service to customers.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree Project Management or Construction Science.
Graduate engineers or architects will also be considered if they have additional training in business administration and accounting or 10 years of verifiable experience.
Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years related experience supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Work collaboratively with the procurement division to negotiate pricing and scope with subcontractors and prepares detailed scopes of work for subcontract documents.
2. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach mutually agreeable terms.
3. Maintain cost-effective plans and schedules projects, following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
4. Track, analyze and trend facility operating costs to identify operational cost reduction opportunities and generate savings for the customer.
5. Negotiate client proposals, change orders and pricing as required.
6. Monitor field expenses to ensure compliance with budget and identify changes effecting scope and/or costs associated.
7. Prepare Critical Path Method baseline schedule to assign resources to tasks, track progress, analyze workloads and track activity cost during both pre-construction and construction phases.
8. Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay applications and prepares Pay Application to customer.
9. Lead, direct and coordinate construction activities using consistent and frequent communication
(phone, email, in person) with field management relative to the project status.
10. Establish and communicate delegation between all project team members.
11. Manage and coordinate all self-performing crews.
12. Monitor the performance of project superintendents to ensure the highest industry standards are met.
13. Conduct site visits to ensure quality and safety standards are being maintained and improved.

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
Provides management of day-to-day operational aspects of a project while effectively applying Briston’s methodology and enforcing project standards. Responsible for scheduling, production and procurement of materials, manpower and equipment. Supervises all direct labor positions and oversees contracted work on site to ensure work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree Project Management or Construction Science.
Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years related experience supervising commercial or industrial construction projects of increasing complexity.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Study contract documents including drawings and specifications to create and execute a cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion based on established duration following a logical pattern for utilization of resources. Revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
2. Prepare 3 week look-ahead schedule to be used as preparation for the approaching weeks ahead to alert the project team to any possible scheduling conflicts and maximize production.
Identifies resources needed and assigns responsibilities including delivery of materials, long lead items, coordination of subcontractors and self-performing crews.
3. Meet with subcontractors prior to their mobilization to review scope of work, schedule and phasing.
4. Oversee performance of all subcontractors and reviews drawings to ensure all specifications, regulations and safety requirements are being followed.
5. Coordinate weekly, on-site project meeting with project team.
6. Organize and conduct daily site meetings.
7. Assist Safety Manager in preparing project-specific Accident Prevention Plan, Activity Hazard
Analysis and Site Safety Plan.
8. Complete daily ICRA inspections, recording and reporting any violations and ensures corrective actions are taken immediately.

In addition, they supervise and coordinate multiple QC specialists, testing laboratory personnel, and any other inspection and testing personnel as required.
Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree.
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year of related experience supervising commercial or industrial construction projects of increasing complexity.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Prepare project-specific Quality Control Plan. Monitor and implement throughout project duration.
2. Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
3. Coordinate quality inspections with all site subcontractors and coordinate all non-destructive testing on site.
4. Coordinate with the customer representatives on all quality matters.
5. Coordinate all receipt inspections.
6. Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
7. Verify that quality related site activities are in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
8. Participate in the site internal and external site audits.
9. Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors.

Minimum Experience Required: 1 year of related experience supervising commercial or industrial construction projects of increasing complexity.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Prepare project specific Accident Prevention Plan, Activity Hazard Analyses, Site Safety Plan and Infection Control Plan.
2. Verify compliance with health and safety regulations and ensures all necessary records are maintained according to established requirements.
3. Manage the participation in all OSHA inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documentation and identifying safety measures.
4. Provide orientation training for all employees and subcontractors prior to working on site.
5. Inform subcontractors of the safety provisions under the terms of the contract and the penalties for noncompliance, coordinating the work to prevent one craft from interfering with or creating hazardous working conditions for other crafts, and completing a daily safety and health inspection during work activity and updating tracking documentation.

PROJECT COORDINATOR
Provides administrative and technical support to the project team by assisting the Project Manager and Project Superintendent with various documentation and coordination items.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field.
Minimum Experience Required: 1-3 years of relevant construction internship or post-undergraduate experience and have a working knowledge of construction administrative processes.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Collaborate with the project team and consultants to research RFI’s, manages the RFI process including submission, tracking and distribution.
2. Review submittals, tracks and updates Submittal Log and distributes to approving party.
3. Assist in the formulation and tracking of change orders and budget information. Maintains
Change Order Log.
4. Prepare Certified Payroll Reports for any self-performed work, collects and reviews all subcontractor Certified Payroll Reports, and maintains logs for tracking all reports.
5. Prepare and distributes all project meeting minutes in collaboration with the project team.
6. Track long lead items and manages the material procurement process of assigned trades.
7. Assist with miscellaneous subcontract awards and trade buyout process including the preparation of subcontract/purchase order agreements to include abstracts and owner award authorization requests.
8. Responsible for managing and organizing/filing all project photo documentation.
9. Assist with procurement of subcontractor invoices to prepare the monthly Payment Application.

Minimum Experience Required: 5 years of relevant construction experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Supervise work activity and works alongside site improvement and MEP laborers and technicians.
2. Assist in planning work schedules, determining workforce needs, material quantities, equipment requirements and crew training needs.
3. Inspect and ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents including plans and specifications.
4. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel.

PLUMBER/PIPEFITTER
Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems as required for new construction or maintenance, applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints.
Minimum Education Required: Professional Certification through an accredited technical school.
Minimum Experience Required: Successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship that includes on-the-job and classroom instruction.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Receive instructions, blueprints, and work orders for the job. Develops working procedure for the job, material requirements, scaffolding and other equipment required. Calculates dimensions and bends required for piping.
2. Plan and schedule machinery installation and repairs to avoid interfering with plant operations.
Follows lockout/tagout procedures to shut down equipment according to OSHA requirements and company safety rules.
3. Set up and operate various pipe cutting, bending, and threading machinery.
4. Bend, cut, thread, shape, fabricate, and install pipe according to job specifications.
5. Cut and bore holes in structures such as walls and fixtures before pipe installation; attach pipes to walls and structures.
6. Install various types of insulation and pipe covering; remove and disposes of old coverings in line with company hazardous waste procedures and EPA and OSHA requirements.
7. Make hydraulic pressure test of piping installations. Check and adjusts controls, gauges, and valves to achieve control of flow or pressure.
8. Inspect and maintain facility piping systems, heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, water treatment and sewer systems, and burners and heaters. Report deficiencies and correct problems.
9. Post and keep up-to-date records of piping systems and controls in company "Facility Layout" manual.
10. Post records of safety checks and inspection dates of assigned equipment.

SHEET METAL MECHANIC
Responsible for assembling, installing and repairing HVAC systems and installing these systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes including air handling equipment, control boxes, air conditioning ducts, grease ducts and hoods, ventilators, grills and louvers or other sheet metal products and equipment.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of experience in commercial construction industry.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Plan and schedule machinery installation and repairs to avoid interfering with plant operations.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures to shut down equipment according to OSHA requirements and company safety rules.
2. Repair and clean ventilation systems to use less energy.
3. Remove dust and moisture and repair leaks/breaks in ductwork.
4. Install assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools and lifting and handling devices.
5. Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments.
6. Install, alter and repair ducts and hoods for HVAC systems.
7. Replace, modify, and/or install furnaces, air conditions, and duct distribution systems.
8. Install grills and dampers.
9. Set curbs for RTU’s.
10. Startup of installed equipment.

Installs, modifies and repairs DX HVAC equipment, fan coils and air handlers, up to 25 tons.
Minimum Education Required: Professional Certification through an accredited technical school.
