Environmental Analyst I
Responsible for agency coordination and some environmental issue identification and analysis, writing environmental documents including smaller Environmental Assessments and Categorical Exclusions as well as some portions of Environmental Impact Statements, under the direction of an EA IV or III.
Responsibility is dependent upon experience. These individuals require supervisory oversight, but may work autonomously depending upon project understanding and advancement. Environmental Analyst II personnel have a basic understanding of environmental laws and regulations and have limited direct experience in both analyzing and writing NEPA documents. Expertise typically includes some knowledge of policies and regulations related to peripheral issues such as air quality, and traffic and transit noise.

Environmental Analyst II
An Environmental Analyst III is responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary teams in the analysis of NEPA projects. These individuals manage day-to-day activities of a wide array of NEPA projects with an emphasis on smaller EISs and complex EAs. These individuals are generally responsible for quality control of such projects, agency coordination and authorship of pertinent sections of the documents, particularly complex sections including Purpose and Need, Alternatives, and specific impact analyses. These individuals may serve as a key member of interdisciplinary teams for agency projects. A qualified individual has experience in preparation of a variety of NEPA documents for a range of federal agencies, and possesses experience in impact analysis, identification and development of practicable mitigation measures, and NEPA document preparation. These individuals require minimum supervisory oversight, and may work autonomously depending upon project understanding and advancement. Environmental Analyst III personnel have a firm understanding of environmental laws and regulations. Expertise typically includes some knowledge of policies and regulations related to peripheral issues such as air quality, and traffic and transit noise.

Environmental Analyst III
Manages some projects within corporate section and provides quality control for smaller NEPA projects.
Authors NEPA documents and manages three or more employees. Environmental Analyst IV
The individual is often the senior author of major NEPA documents prepared by the company. The Environmental Analyst IV serves as a project manager, responsible for managing, coordinating, preparing, and reviewing a wide variety of environmental documents, with special concern for NEPA compliance and permitting requirements. Serves as a key member of interdisciplinary teams for major projects, has experience preparing environmental documents for all federal land management agencies in the western states and in the southwest, and possesses extensive experience and expertise in the identification and quantification of impacts and the definition of mitigation strategies.
Masters 8 An additional 3 years of relevant experience in conjunction with a baccalaureate degree is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
Environmental Analyst V
Responsible for quality control on smaller projects and generally supervised by a Company Principal.
Responsible for project administration including budgets, schedules, client coordination, and task completion. Supervised by another project manager.
May function as a deputy project manager for larger projects under an upper-level project manager. May be the author of smaller project reports. Possesses project experience in environmental resource analyses and investigations involving NEPA, resource planning, hazardous materials, water quality, hydrology, fisheries, habitat, or other natural resource fields.

Environmental Analyst VI
Responsible for overseeing all products within corporate section, as well as quality control of all NEPA projects. Functions as senior author of major NEPA documents, serves as senior project manager, and mentors corporate environmental analysts. Manages interdisciplinary teams for major projects, has experience preparing environmental documents for federal land management agencies, and possesses extensive experience and expertise in the identification and quantification of impacts and the development of mitigation strategies.

Responsible for smaller project management, land management plans, community plans, and technical writing. Environmental Planner III personnel typically possess considerable experience in public presentation and have worked on a variety of site resource management planning, and community planning projects. Expertise extends to planning, environmental analysis, and land use/community master planning.
Environmental Planner III personnel prepare resource and community plans and are proficient in ArcView GIS software, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator, and other such software.
Bachelors 5 An advanced degree may be used in lieu of 2 years of experience.
Environmental Planner III

Editor II personnel typically possess a variety of writing skills, including technical writing, journalistic writing, and writing for marketing, as well as a full range of publishing skills, including copy editing, layout editing, photo editing, document formatting, and editing content for use on the Internet. These individuals have experience with Microsoft Word, Photoshop, InDesign, and other publishing software.

Fisheries Biologist II
Responsible for analysis, study design, modeling, and assessment in aquatic biological fields under supervision of the Section Leader. Personnel may manage projects of limited complexity under the supervision of the Section Leader. Individuals have some experience in sampling design, impact analyses, regulatory processes, and report preparation. The individuals have extensive experience in field sampling and data analysis. Individuals generally require supervisory oversight, but may work autonomously depending upon project understanding and advancement.

The individual may also function as a Deputy Project Manager for larger projects under a PM III or IV. The PM II may be the author of smaller project reports.

Project Manager III
Responsible for quality control on medium and smaller projects, often the senior author of project reports.
Responsible for all levels of project administration including budgets, schedules, client coordination, and task completion. Also responsible for mentoring associate project managers and specialists.
Experienced in various project-related disciplines including the coordination of environmental resource analyses and investigations involving NEPA, resource planning, hazardous materials, water quality, hydrology, fisheries, habitat, and other natural resource fields. Has managed a minimum of 10 projects with high to moderate complexity. Supervises four or more employees, may also manage the section.

Project Manager IV
Responsible for quality control on major projects and often the senior author of project reports. Responsible for all levels of project administration including budgets, schedules, client coordination, and task completion. Writes technical reports. Has a firm understanding of regulatory issues, construction design and management, and best management practices. Coordinates with regulatory agencies and develops mitigation designs.

Sr Water Quality Specialist
Participates on interdisciplinary and field teams, and may lead field teams. Collects data, implements study designs, and contributes to environmental documents under supervision.
