Provides a written translation from the source to the target language, understands the inner workings and the idiomatic terminology of their specific industry or discipline, and can be relied on to convey the intended meanings of the source documents rather than just delivering a literal translation. Translation services are provided for various industries and organizations including but not limited to legal, medical, law enforcement and business. All translators are expected to perform editing on projects already translated by professional translators.
Minimum education and experience: 2 years of professional experience, and a BA/BS college degree at a minimum.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER
Foreign Language Interpreters serve as a liaison between Limited-English speakers and the individuals with whom they wish to communicate. Interpreters provide services at a state and federal level in a variety of settings such as conferences, in medical and health facilities and in-court or out-of court legal proceedings and provide consecutive and remote interpretation depending on the needs of each job.
Interpreters fulfill a series of qualifications, such as certifications and expertise in order to make sure it matches the client’s expectations. There are some languages for which a certification simply doesn’t exist in which case the state’s recommendations on finding highly qualified interpreters are used. In general, proof of past performance and a minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
Per the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters (NAJIT): “Court and legal interpreters are set apart because of the stringent ethical and professional standards they must meet. These professionals are highly skilled individuals who fulfill an essential role in the administration of justice. Limited-English-proficient (LEP) defendants, litigants, victims, and witnesses depend upon their services. Court
Interpreters must be impartial officers of the court, with a duty to serve the judicial process.” Thus, all interpreters, regardless of their certification, are required to follow the Code of Ethics and Conduct provided by the certifying entity or their respective State.
STANDARD FEE: The fee includes the provision of the interpreter as included in the quote provided by CCI. Includes interpreter time, travel, and attendance at the specified event. Parking fees, mileage, traveling time, etc. will be negotiated at the time of each request, prior to confirming the assignment, and clearly stated in each confirmation in writing.
RUSH FEE: This fee is instituted if the translation project is required to be delivered in less time than the proposed estimated delivery time. The rush fee is 15% of the service fee. If the entire project meets this criteria, there will be one fee shown on the invoice for the 15%. If it is applicable only to one item on the invoice, it will be shown as a rush fee for that item.

Captioners are allowed to select the content area that they feel is their strength. CCI Group's captioning team possesses more than 5 years of experience, on

DTP (desktop publishing) in translation means formatting documents after they are translated. The scope of DTP varies widely, with some projects requiring no DTP at all and others requiring many hours of formatting. The more complex the formatting is, the larger the scope. A simple document with few images needs little or no DTP. A large InDesign file with multiple images, tables, charts, and cross-references is more time consuming.
ON-SITE SIMULTANEOUS AND CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION Simultaneous interpreting is oral translation without requiring pauses from the speaker. It generally requires audio equipment, such as a soundproof both for the interpreters, microphones, and headphones for all the members of the audience. Simultaneous interpreting involves simultaneous oral translation while the speaker delivers his/her speech. The flow and rhythm of the interpreter’s speech is delayed as he/she has to listen to the English speaker’s complete sentence before delivering the translation of each sentence in the other language. As a consequence, both speeches occur with a delay of a few seconds. Consecutive interpreting is oral translation that requires the speaker to pause every 20-60 seconds while the interpreter translates to the audience. It generally does not require special equipment.
