Contracts Closeout Specialist, II
Works under general supervision. Supports the Federal Government contract closeouts. Provides support to resolve problems through effective and efficient resolutions compliant with Federal acquisition regulations and policies. Research and analyze contract and financial data often in an environment. Provides support to complete closeouts, including the required risk assessment in accordance with FAR 42.708. Has understanding of the application of indirect and direct cost rates to cost and time and materials type contract closeouts. Has knowledge of DCAA or DCMA audits, reviews and findings.
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of government contracting experience.
Contracts Specialist, I
Administers all contract types under general supervision; Perform "cradle-to-grave" acquisition functions (i.e., from pre-award, to post-award, to the final contract termination/close-out). Carries out pre-determined and recurring tasks which are designed to provide broad, but limited exposure to the contract’s profession.
Assignments may include but are not limited to general contracts support in all stages of contracting lifecycle. Exposure to FAR and/or DFAR.

Utilizes price/cost analysis techniques to support the development of cost-related sections of solicitation documents and the analysis of cost and price data, labor and material cost. Analyzes and evaluates contractor price/cost quotes for new procurements, changes, follow-on procurements, etc., which may result in new contracts or the issuance of modifications or the termination of existing contracts. Supports the extension of periods of performance and contract closeout processes. Assists customers in developing statements of work and procurement strategy; and develops evaluation plans, pricing methodologies, and contract administration.

Experienced in supporting and supervising projects. Experience at the supervisory level for technical projects, which may include engineering, management of information technology systems, subsystems, or equipment.
