6/7/2018

To Specifications Dated 5/23/2018 and Drawings Dated 25 May For

USACE Roller Shades

Revisions

1. Replace Sheet A 5 01 with new Sheet A 5 01 Addendum 1.

2. In the Scope of Work under the Requirements Section, paragraph 1: Change “(192)” to “(195)”

Answers to Questions

• The SOW indicates in section “Work Restrictions”, page 2, that the contract period…”shall be completed within (90) calendar days of notice to proceed”; however, “The Agreement”, page 2, section I.C. Period of Performance (2), indicates 60 days. Answer: SOW is correct.

• Upon a notice to proceed, can field measuring be immediately approved? Answer: Building Manager may escort if time allows or can be performed after contract employees receive security clearances.

• The Request for Quote form indicates on page 2 that “offers to be valid for 60 days”; however PoP of 6/22/18-9/28/18, is 90 days. Please explain. Answer: Quote must be good for 60 after submitting until Contracting Officer makes the award.

• Are there plans to install shades, at a later date, in other windows not noted for receiving roller shades? Answer: Not at this time.

• What does 1/3-51 on the 3rd floor mean? General Notes #3 on sheet A501 indicate all 3rd floor windows to be full height, not 1 / 3. Answer: A type 51 window has three vertical sections, only 1 of the sections is to be covered with a shade. All windows on getting shades on the 3rd floor need to be the full height of the window, not just 2/3 like on the rest of the floors.

• Will any furniture be moved from in front of the windows by the owner, to allow for a ladder to get close to the windows? Answer: No furniture located in front of windows. If not, are installers allowed to stand on the furniture, with protection? Answer: No

• Will all floors be accessible at once or do you leave this up to the contractor, as long as it is done within the specified time? Answer: For the most part, Yes. There may be one or two windows that will need to be scheduled/coordinated with the user to ensure the room/space is not in use.

• Are all the windows on the NE corner considered part of the conference room, or just the 2 marked with “51” type windows? Answer: If you are referring to the 3rd floor, it is just the windows marked "51"

• Will communication shared at the walk through be available to all interested parties, prior to bid due date? Answer: Yes
