About this file

This document is a Material Ordering Data sheet that provides detailed specifications and requirements for welding electrodes to be provided under a federal contract. The key details are:

The welding electrodes must be dual certified to the requirements of MIL-E-23765 Rev. B and AWS A5.28/A5.28M, with a specific type of MIL-80S-3 required. Additional requirements include non-conductive spool materials, shielding gas specifications, test weld procedures, and packaging/marking specifications. A related federal contract opportunity is also provided, Solicitation Number SPMYM225Q0066 for "WELDING ELECTRODES" issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. This solicitation requires the submission of a completed quote package with various certifications and product information by the closing date. The solicitation is for the manufacture and delivery of approximately 240 spools (~6,100 lbs) of 0.045" diameter ER80S-D2 welding electrodes, with award to be made to a qualified, responsive offeror.
