PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)
1.0 Scope
This Performance Work Statement shall provide a proposal in response to this PWS. This effort shall be proposed on Creative Development, Labor Hours and Materials.
1.1 Contractor Task Proposal
Contractor Pre-installation Phase prior to the Mural Installation, will include the following:
· Detailed measurements and bulkhead profile analysis.
· Coordinate with Client’s POC for image selection and project implementation timeline.
· Vectorization of graphics that meet / exceed resolution criteria.
· Artwork layout and design.
· Contractor will wipe down the wall with 70%-90% isopropyl alcohol to remove any grease, dust or contaminate prior to installation. If there is further needed prepping to the wall, we ask that it be completed prior to contractor arrival, or wall prep fees will incur based on an hourly labor rate.
· Material utilized and Labor effort resulting in final product.
2.0 Design Requirement
· All graphics unique to Ship’s or Land Facility’s History will be provided by Client.
2.1 Installation Requirement
· All furniture and obstacles should be removed from installation area with a minimum of six feet of clearance from installation wall. Installers may need adequate room for ladders and subsequent tools.
· All art or wall fixtures (i.e. hanging shelves, pictures, prior wraps) and hardware should be removed prior to installation.
· Walls or area should be clear of debris or other loose items that will affect the ability to install.
· If wall has been recently painted, we require a minimum of two weeks for paint to outgas/cure prior to mural graphic installation. Gas from recently painted walls can get trapped behind the mural and result in bubbling and higher rate of failure.
2.2 Post installation Process.
· Mural takes 2-3 days to cure to the wall once installed.
· Small bubbles may appear during the curing time and will dissipate thereafter.
