Choosing a Key Operator
Selecting the appropriate candidate to become an Erytra, Erytra Eflexis, Wadiana, DG Reader and/or Manual Station Key Operator increases the value of a system investment. The Key Operator will assume overall responsibility for the operation of the system. Key Operator Training is a comprehensive course that focuses on the software capabilities of these systems and covers basic operation and maintenance skills.
Once trained, the Key Operator will be fully prepared to assume overall operational responsibility for the system. Training should occur prior to system verification to streamline the implementation process.
(2) Timing of Key Operator Training
Key Operators should attend training while the equipment is in transit and/or have training completed prior to the start of the onsite implementation process. It is both beneficial and necessary to have a Key Operator present and able to assist during verification and validation.
(3) Location of Key Operator Training
Key Operator training takes place at Grifols Diagnostic Solutions’ facility in Emeryville, CA (Erytra, Erytra Eflexis and Wadiana only) or at the customer site (Erytra, Erytra Eflexis, Wadiana, DG Reader Net and DG Manual System). The comprehensive program will provide the tools to operate these systems proficiently and productively.
(4) Scheduling Key Operator Training
A Grifols Diagnostic Solutions Immunohematology Specialist and Implementation Manager will work with the customer to provide a current Key Operator Training schedule and register the Key Operator(s) for the class. It is highly recommended that the training be scheduled within two (2) weeks of installation to maximize the transition of classroom knowledge to application.
General Operator training is performed after the Key Operator(s) have been trained and installation and System Verification have been completed. The number of General Operators trained and the duration of basic training, which is consistent with that offered to the commercial customers, will be determined at time of Implementation.
