About this file

This is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Amendment 0001) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22 for a ferromagnetic detection system for the Southern Arizona VA Medical Center's radiology department. The amendment clarifies the quantity for Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 as 1 unit of the FerrAlert Halo II Plus system (X9915 Detector Screener by KOPP Development Inc.), addressing an industry question about conflicting quantity information.

The Statement of Work details specific requirements for the ferromagnetic detection system, which must be mounted in MRI workspace doorways to detect potential ferromagnetic threats. The system must have features including 24/7 active monitoring, pinpoint threat location capabilities, visible alarms inside and outside the magnet room, adjustable width (42"-52"), compliance with medical device standards, and a double photoelectric beam. Delivery is scheduled between 1/10/2026 and 2/10/2026 to a warehouse in Tucson, Arizona, with the contractor responsible for installation, training, and providing a standard manufacturer warranty.
