VA Response to RFI questions

1. Please clarify if payment and performance bonds will be required for this contract?

VA Response: Yes

2. Can the government provide ASBUILD drawings, per site visit POC stated plans are to be provided.

VA response: Attached

3. Please confirm Gov will relocate all existing equipment in both rooms.

VA Response: : Yes, the services will relocate all existing equipment that can be moved in both rooms.

4. Please confirm drain system is to be included?

VA Response: Please clarify.

5. Please confirm work hours VA Response: Work hours should be 3-11:30pm when there is less traffic at the hospital.

6. Please confirm level of infectious control. Where can we push hepa filtered air? Please provide asbuild drawings.

VA Response: IC level will be C and Highest Risk, the air can be pushed into the return air for the heat ,A/C, drawings attached.

7. Please provide Specs for new flooring VA Response: Key Resin, Key Flake Decorative Epoxy Flooring color 506

8. Are we required to have a hard wall barricade, or will a temp plastic screen suffice?

VA Response: Temporary Hard Wall Barriers are required.

9. Where will we direct the clean air from the air scrubber?

VA Response: Determined by contractor per location not to interfere with work areas.

10. Can we get a pdf blueprint for all areas to receive new nonslip flooring?

VA Response: Attached

11. Who is protecting the large equipment from dust before we start the demolition?

VA Response: Contractor

12. Who will be removing all the tables and movable equipment including furniture in all areas?

VA Response: In House Engineering

13. The flooring will need to be in phases how will this extend the 30-day duration of the project.

VA Response: We can extend the contract period of performance to 90 days.

14. The decontamination room has equipment bolted down to the floor are we responsible for removal and replacement of the equipment?

VA Response: In House Engineering

15. During the job walk it was mentioned we will require to disconnect stainless steel sinks and install new drainage to both sinks in the decontamination room will this require a B- license since the SOW is calling for C-15 flooring only?

VA Response: That language is not mentioned in the scope on the solicitation.

16. Will you be supplying the epoxy spec for these areas to match what was used on the 5th floor to match?

VA Response: Yes, we will provide the spec.

17. What is the duration of each phase?

VA Response: 15days

18. Will both areas be going at the same time?

VA Response: Yes, both areas shall be completed together.

19. Are we supplying a dumpster for the demolition?

VA Response: Please utilize the dumpsters located at the South side of building 500 provided by the VA. Trash only, Carboard only, Metal only.
