* = Required Field Contract Opportunity Special Notice Long Beach Bulk Oxygen Sole Source 90815 36C26220Q0400 N 325120 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22 4811 Airport Plaza Drive Suite 600 Long Beach CA 90815 Danielle Trudeau Contract Specialist 562-766-2263 danielle.trudeau@va.gov danielle.trudeau@va.gov The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, Long Beach, CA intends to issue a contract to Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. The contract will provide bulk oxygen, rental of the bulk oxygen tank and back-up tank and emergency deliveries. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (2) (b) (i), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The VA anticipates issuing the order on or near April 1, 2020. The period of performance will be from April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. The total estimated value is estimated at $158,400.00 This contract will include bulk oxygen and the rental of both the main tank and the back-up tank as well as emergency deliveries and Certificate of Analysis fees for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.

This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207 (c) (16) (ii), all responsible sources that feel they can fulfill requirements may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by VA. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement, and include: Dun & Bradstreet Number, and the Taxpayer Identification Number, along with documentation that the vendor is an authorized distributor/reseller. All respondents must have an active registration in the System for Award Management www.sam.gov. A determination by VA not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VA. In addition, the information received because of this notice of intent will be retained as market research only.
