RFIs for Solicitation #36C26219Q1283

1. During the job walk it was stated that bidders are not required to provide OnSSI VMS camera licenses in their bids. Per the SOW, there are 63 new cameras and only 60 existing unused camera licenses. Please confirm that no additional camera licenses are necessary as part of bidders’ responses to this solicitation.

a. If new camera licenses are required, please indicate whether bidders shall also provide StayCURRENT coverage for each new license. – No new Licenses will be purchased with this contract.

2. During the job walk it was stated that previously installed existing horizontal copper cabling will be used to connect the new cameras and speakers. This conflicts with section 1.4 of the Scope of Work (page 8 of 51), which indicates that installation of new Cat 6 cables will be required for all new cables. Please confirm that all new devices will be connected using existing copper cabling.

3. During the job walk it was stated that there are a number of existing cameras that need to be connected to and configured for use with the existing network/VMS. Please indicate whether Contractor will be responsible for performing this task as part of its overall scope for the project and, if so, how many such cameras there are. There are 5 existing cameras that will have to be added to the network/VMS.

4. The RFP specifies qty. 24 new Pakedge network switches but only qty. 20 new Pakedge transceivers.

Please confirm quantities required for each of these system components. 24 is the correct quantity.

5. Section 1.2 of the SOW (page 8 of 51) indicates that Contractor “will replace old and obsolete cameras with new camera models as defined in Appendix A of this document.”

a. Please confirm whether any existing cameras are to be removed as part of this project. NO

b. Please confirm whether an Appendix A was distributed as part of this distribution. N/A

6. Section 1.10 of the SOW (page 8 of 51) indicates that Contractor “shall test and certify that all fiber used in this project meets EIA/TIA 568 C standard for fiber optics.” Please confirm whether bidders should include labor for testing existing fiber as part of their bids.

Yes all cables should be tested to ensure they are operations from the switch to the camera

7. Section 1.15 of the SOW (page 9 of 51) references HEPA containment tents. Please clarify whether the use of these tents will be required in any areas where work will be performed for this project.

8. Section 1.18 of the SOW (page 9 of 51) references a one-hour response associated with providing post-installation support for this project. Is the requirement for one-hour onsite response or just one-hour response via phone? By Phone

9. Are there any areas where lifts will be required to perform work under this scope? If so, please specify all such areas. Yes, Building 508, 220, 510

10. Is this contract subject to SCA or Davis Bacon wages? No, it is not. It is considered a supply request.
