This is a combined synopsis/solicitation set aside for SDVOSB’s for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotes under solicitation number: 36C26218Q9569

The Department of Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System, San Diego, CA 90822 has a requirement for Nursing Uniforms. The Contractor shall coordinate embroidery and furnish all supplies/services at The VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 E 7th Street, Warehouse building 149, Long Beach, CA 90822. Contact information will be provided. Shipping included in cost.

In order to provide safe and effective patient care, VA Long Beach Healthcare System requires the purchase of specialty mattresses with the following salient characteristics:

a. Dimensions of 84” x 35.5” x 8”

b. Compatibility with Hill-Rom Advanta 2 Bedframe

c. Patient weight limit of no less than 500 lbs.

d. Mattress weight of no more than 45 lbs.

e. Shear mattress liner

f. Weight-based pressure redistribution capability

g. Mattress design must address shear, friction, and pressure on patients

h. Mattress design must be capable of wicking away heat and moisture

i. Single button turn assist & max inflate aid

j. Bed exist system capable of notifying caregiver when patients exit bed

k. Integrated x-ray cassette

The solicitation will be in accordance with FAR Part 12, 13, and 19, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Small Business Programs, and Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulations as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112 Size Standard 1000 Employees. The Contractor shall adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations in effect during the term of this contract. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The Contract begins on the date of award. Responses to the solicitation shall be due on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM PST. Offerors are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments.
